Biggin & Scott

We had our property managed by Biggin Scott. When the tenant left they left the property in an awful state and required a lot of basic bond cleaning to make it liveable again. Fundamental things like dirty dishwasher and dirt and grime over the the walls and floors. When raised with the Property Management team they were dismissive and blew me off. Would not recommend.

Wow! Just wow! I have had the best experience with the property managers here. Everyone that I’ve spoken to was friendly, knowledgeable and transparent to talk to, and just pleasant to deal with. I also found the receptionist Gayle was so lovely and helpful and happy to answer my questions. This is without a doubt the most competent property management team I’ve ever dealt with. If I am successful in purchasing an investment property I know who I will be calling first to manage it.

Angelos has been a rock of professionalism and dependability during these uncertain and unprecedented times for real estate. It was extremely reassuring to have someone with such a wealth of experience guide us through the sale of our apartment during COVID. His communication and advice throughout the process was exceptional, and we're very, very pleased with the result.He even provided us some timely and invaluable advice for buying our new home, which he really didn't have to do but shows that he's willing to go above and beyond with his services.Thanks Angelos, we're absolutely thrilled that we went with you and Biggin & Scott Elsternwick. Biggin and Scott had the property management rights for my apartment. The last 8 months to get a heater and oven to work for my tenant has been appalling, I have always been a polite and low maintenance landlord! Management didn't even bother getting back to me with a follow up on the mismanagement of this issue and how it kept going around in circles. My experience was horrible in the end they didn't care and this caused me great angst. No apologies or anything, I fixed the issue in the end and coordinated it all. My regret was that I did not cease management with them earlier!!

Terrible experience as a tenant with Louise, Carly and the Biggin and Scott Elsternwick team regarding premises at The Mark Elsternwick. They have withheld my total $3.5k bond money for three months after my lease ended and refused to resolve issue with landlord after all this time. My place is in immaculate condition and the only issues is a mark in some kitchen handles which is fair wear and tear and they are taking the issue to VCAT. Landlord expects the premises to be as new after 2 years. Totally unreasonable and unfair. Avoid these agents or know what you’re in for!

Having recently started my rental search, l found a townhouse of interest and decided to visit Biggin Scott Elsternwick in person. Although I was engaged in conversation with a perfectly lovely receptionist, (hence the saving grace of the one star), the second receptionist (Gayle) decided to intervene and as l found out later, provide me with inaccurate information. I found her manner abrupt and condescending but did not pursue the issue. The property manager (Kerry) was unavailable so l was provided with her details. Over the following week, l left multiple messages via text, voicemail and email but had not heard back. In the meantime, l have been actively involved with 5 other proper real estate agents who have been nothing but courteous and professional. Considering Biggin Scott constantly floods the neighbourhood with their advertising flyers prompting the outstanding service they provide, l decided to follow up my initial enquiry today as l saw the townhouse is still advertised. I walked straight to the polite receptionist and of course it wasn't long before Gayle once again interrupted in the rudest manner l have encountered. First l was told to wait as Kerry was on the premises but then was informed by Gayle that the property had been leased even though it wasn't available until the 4th of Feb. When l asked why she had told me l could not apply for the property until l had inspected it and could not inspect it until February, she went into an absolute rage! She raised her voice and scolded me like a child. It was unbelievable to behold. She then proceeded to inform me that if l complain about her to the director, he wouldn't do anything about it. Suffice to say, that this disgustingly arrogant overall experience by a business that seems to believe the current media hype that they are all -powerful due to the rental crisis (which surprise surprise doesn't exist), have proven that they are nothing but a bunch of fraudsters!

Recently I viewed a property with real estate agent James Bade and was pleasantly surprised to see a breath of fresh air in this industry.He was a very helpful and sincere approachable person with a high level of professionalism incorporated in his approach.An absolute perfect experience. His team is lucky to have him.

Had a tough time dealing with their rental department as a renter of an apartment in Elwood. Property had no internet connection (undisclosed) and some maintenance was required, but my requests asking for help were largely ignored once I’d moved in. I received an unprofessional response finally advising they were too busy to assist me. Owner switched to another agency, but think twice before renting through here.

Don't waste your time with this agent who employ the worst rental property managers we have ever come across in Louise Reid and Carly Derbyshire. We could use every bad/negative word imaginable to describe them but it would take too long. Don't go anywhere near them, you will live to regret it. They are not tenant focussed with a number of their properties (apartment blocks like The Mark) having a huge turn-around of tenants due to dissatisfaction. They are thieves! ABSOLUTELY NO STARS BUT ONE IS THE MINIMUM.

Had an amazing experience renting in Elsternwick with Biggin Scott. Tanya (property manager) very responsive to any messages. If any issues popped up, always organised repairs within 2 days. Made the experience of renting so easy breezy. The vacay process is obviously the most stressful part of renting/moving. I don’t have a single complaint to make :)
