Makeup by Filiz

Filiz was the hair stylist and make up artist for my wedding this November (2013), my three bridesmaids looked stunning and I just felt amazing. I am not great with make up and so I did a trial and emailed back and forth with Filiz who was so helpful, and patient with me the whole way. She was relaxed yet organised and confident both times I met her which put me completely at ease on a nerve wracking day. The end result was fantastic, it all turned out EXACTLY as I had it pictured in my head. I could not recommend her highly enough to anyone looking for make up and hair!

Filiz has done my makeup for events several times - and each time I've been absolutely thrilled with her work. Most recently, for a special birthday, she came up with a vision based around the style of my dress. It suited me and my colouring so well and at my party I received several compliments and the makeup lasted from day in to night. She's a true professional with a creative flair, and I'd recommend her to anyone looking for picture perfect makeup for a special occasion!

I had never had my makeup professionally done before. The end result was amazing and her attention to detail exquisite. It was everything I'd hoped for and more - as well as complimenting my outfit for the night perfectly.I have since had my makeup done for special occasions and more recently my wedding day - where as usual Filiz did a fantastic job with not only my makeup, but also my bridesmaids and friends. For my hens night Filiz suggested I try airbrush makeup. I couldn't believe how great it looked - the finish was absolutely flawless and it lasted all night and into the next day! Filiz has an uncanny knack for matching your skin colour and foundation perfectly - and airbrush was no exception.I highly recommend Makeup by Filiz for whenever you need professional makeup for that special occasion. I know I will be using her services many a time in the future!!

Anyone asking me to recommend a professional make up artist and hair stylist would be pointed to Filiz.Filiz did my hair and makeup for my wedding (2013) and also did my mothers make up as well. Right from the start she was warm and welcoming and worked with me to suggest makeup and hair styles that would suit my skin and complexion, I don't generally wear much make up if any at all so I left myself in Filiz's hands.We did a trial and in between the trial date and date of the wedding Filiz touched base everynow and then to see if there were any changes I wanted to make before the day, which I found quite a nice touch.On the day, the results were absolutely stunning, she was very easy to talk to and friendly, easing my nerves before my big moment. The hair style she chose complimented the style of my dress and the make up brought out my eyes and made them sparkle all the while without being too heavy.I had only had professional make up done once before and my skin felt heavy and clogged for days afterwards, I was so surprised to find that she achieved such a stunning flawless look without that heavy feeling!My Mother is generally very picky about her make up and she absolutely loved what Filiz did in the short amount of time they had.Filiz went above and beyond to make sure things were perfect for me and I couldn't have been happier.I will definitely go back and see Filiz again for other functions and cannot reccomend her highly enough.
