OMG this place. The lodge had everything you need and extremely comfortable. The beds are so comfy. The trek up to the waterfalls are beautiful. I can't wait to go back when the water is clear.

My family and I have been going to the gorge for the past 20 years, alternating between camping and staying in the shack. Until our last stay, we’ve had a fond love for the property. Camping has always been amazing. Recently though, we hired the shack which will be the last time we stay. There were micro bats living in the furniture, rats that destroyed our kids lunchbox, long grass around the shack which prevented us from playing lawn games & was hard to manage with our toddlers wanting to run around, and we had to wear socks after a shower to prevent our feet from going black as the floors were that dirty. There was no hand soap, dishwashing liquid or cooking oil either, so the house is not “fully equipped” as stated online. All of that would’ve been pushed to the side though, until we were rudely contacted by the owner. On leaving, we spent an hour cleaning (vacuuming, wiping down surfaces and sweeping outside), we left the place better than we found it. But were still called by owner Belinda on the way home who rudely accused us of leaving the house a mess as we didn’t mop the floors - there were mops but no mop bucket in sight, which we looked for but were unable to find, even though this isn’t usually an expectation we’ve had on departure from other holidays.. overpriced for what you get if I’m honest, and after the phone call from the owner, it’s put a real dampener on what was a great spot to visit

We stayed here in June had the best time. We stayed at Mum and Dad site over looking the river so good to wake up to that view every morning. We also loved the drive in absolutely beautiful country. Belinda the owner is very nice and has some great stories to tell and her dog George kept our dogs entertained for hours. So thank you for letting us stay on your property Belinda and we will be back. Cassie’s Mum and Dad. Mark & Deanna

I did not want to leave! One of the best camping spots I’ve been to in a long time.If you’re not too much of a princess and can deal with a drop loo - you’ll love it. However, there is an option for a hot shower near the owner’s homestead with a couple flushing toilets.Belinda is a Cowboys Dream Girl! Hospitable, capable and all round lady legend. The property has over 30 secluded campsites along The Clarence River. We were given a beautiful spot only a 5min trundle (for a toddler) away from the river with wonderful amount of wildlife to keep the kids excited for hours. If you’ve got a 4x4 and love to fish, boat and camp. This is BCFing fun for all the fam.I’ll be back!

If you want an experience off the beaten track then this is recommended. Located high up the Clarence River with only one road in, 'The Shack' overlooks the river. A bit tricky to access during wet weather, though we managed in a 2WD vehicle with care.

Brilliant spot. Great host and great location. Walk to Falls was easy to follow too. Highly recommended and we will be back for sure.

Campsites are, all super private and spaced well apart on the picturesque river frontage, I had my canoe on the waters edge to go for a fish or paddle up to the waterfall. Not a birdwatcher, but the bird life hear is amazing could sit round and listen to them all day. Hosts Bellinda and Buck were really friendly and helpful, will be back.

Absolutely awesome but $30 per night per vehicle doesn't get you much. We camped close to the river in a grassy area which was great for our group size but grass was mid-shin height which was not too ideal especially when other camp areas had been mowed. Drop toilet was pretty gross so no one really used it. I just remember there being more upkeep to the place when we were here 6 years ago. We'd still go back as it's beautiful but maybe bring our lawn mower and shovel.
