We have our 70th birthday celebration in BURAPA.The waitresses are very friendly and make us feel welcomed.The dishes are very delicious.We have an enjoyable night here and we are sure we will be back again.Highly recommended!

Service is great, food is fantastic. However, the portion is relatively small. Not very full after dinner :(

A great local Thai restaurant with very friendly staff and very clean interior. We booked a table for 5 with a high chair and it was ready when we arrived together with kids cutlery and plate and bowl - wow! We were offered some meal suggestions that we very good and together with our choices we couldn't ask for more. There's more than enough wine/ beer to choose from and the cocktails look amazing and the lychee flavoured one was great. It's really worth a visit.

First time order from this restaurant, was surprised by the amount of the soft crab that we’ve got. Literally 4 small pieces for $28. It’s a rip off. We also ordered pad Thai & green curry. The wasn’t much ingredients but lots of sauces. price are definitely more pricey than the other restaurants that we have tried before. Will not order from them.

lovely Thai cuisine in the restaurantBecause I love crab, most of the stuff that I have ordered is crab-related.The crab fried rice in the first image has a good texture and flavour. combine within crab meat. inside of the mouth, the mixture had a beautiful flavour.Soft shell crab is the second. I adore eating soft shell crab for dinner. When you deep fry soft shell crab and combine it with a delicious sauce, you can never go wrong. But one of the most commonly used sauces in Thai restaurants is curry. Good position size and flavour are also present.Thank you for the food today. It was absolutely beautiful.

Service was absolutely top notch, everyone was so friendly. Our favorite dish of the night was the red duck curry, very fragrant and strong flavours. Moo ping (grilled pork) was also lovely. Pad Thai was slightly bland, didn't have that strong sweet and sour flavor that I was looking forward to. Soft shell crab was ok but also slightly bland. Massaman beef curry was rich, some of the beef chunks were a bit dry. Overall pretty good, I can see why the rating is super high, just the flavour of some of the dishes needs to be dialed up imho.

Came for Sunday lunch. All 7 dishes ordered came out quickly and tasted better than average. Highlights were pineapple fried rice, fried barramundi in tamarind sauce, tom yum and Thai iced milk tea. Only negative was coconut rice tasted too sweet and sticky. Medium size restaurant with cosy ambience as newly renovated. Staff was attentive and courteous. Will definitely be back again.

As people who trust Google reviews for tips on new restaurants to eat at, we were initially impressed by so many 5 stars and high ratings. With Zomato being gone now, we can only mainly rely on Google and FB reviews. A 4.8 star restaurant reviewed by over 500 people must be a good one, especially as the rating is set to drop with more and more people reviewing it. We went to Burapa anticipating an outstanding meal but were left very disappointed. Having been to Thailand 3 times before, my wife and I know what authentic Thai food is and this certainly is not.It was not a 4.8 at all. At best a 3.9-4.0. The fried barramundi was dry and tamarind sauce too sweet. The Pad Thai prawns were slightly undercooked and the noodles were still hard and undercooked as well. The noodles softened after we microwaved it at home the next day. Something as simple as cooking the rice noodles or prawns properly for a staple Thai dish they failed to do.To let you in on a little secret, there is a reason why there are so many hundreds of 5 star reviews and sadly, it's not because of the 5 star food. The restaurant actually offers you a 5% discount off the meal if you leave a review, as seen by my first photo. I think it all comes down to etiquette. If someone is helping you to save you money and giving you a free discount for little effort, it would be wrong or mean for you to give them a bad review to their face. Also, they have to see and check your posted review first before issuing you your discount.If you check the newest reviews, there are many reviews which are just 5 stars with no writing at all or just a few words. If you think about it, how can a restaurant honestly have nearly all of its reviews being 5 stars, hardly any 4 star ones and nearly no 3 star or lower ones? The jump is just far too great. Even Vue De Monde is down to 4.6, along with other top restaurants in Melbourne on Google reviews. Those are legit stats. Even Federer or Jordan don't have as stacked stats as Burapa does.The food is beautifully presented and the service is top notch with a new and aesthetically pleasing interior but that is about where it ends. The food is not worth a 4.8 at all. Please do not be fooled like we were. It's just deceptive and misleading to, as the owner, heavily influence the reviews like that and to trick innocent, paying customers into believing your product is a 5 star one when it certainly is not. It's much worse than false advertising.
