I'll just start by saying I'm vegan so this review is to help other vegans find delicious food in Tasmania because it was challenging! I was at Cradle Mountain National Park for the day and we happened upon this place for lunch. They had a vegan veggie pizza on the menu and it was OUTSTANDING and literally the best vegan pizza I've ever had. It was so delicious I felt compelled to complement the cook. It was loaded with veggies. I ate the entire thing and was extremely satisfied. There were other vegan options available, a falafel burger and a couple more items.

Always a highlight to come here after a day of outdoors at Cradle. Nice drinks and snacks. Pizza are great, service very friendly. All renovated since I was there last.

It took 1 hour to get food. Even no seasoning in the food. Very blend taste. Pizza oven was not clean. We got black dirt on all fingers. Do not visit here to dine on. Save your time.

Great atmosphere here for spending a winter afternoon/evening. Roaring fires, wood panelling and friendly staff add to a perfect winter lodge experience. The food and drinks are great value and tasty, we are looking forward to returning on our next visit!

Fairly basic pub food with the Cradle Mountain Tax added so everything is expensive. Still, food is nice, fresh and service is efficient. Good place to stop after a big hike.

Pretty much the only decent restaurant on cradle mountain. Came during weird times 2:30 on and 5:30 pm and it was super easy to get a table with plenty of spare seats. The fireplace is a nice plus and the restaurant has been remodeled since years ago. Pizza lovers you might need to readjust your expectations as it was a bit average with a bit more work to be done in the pizza base.

Absolutely great place to dine. Great service and delicious meals. Ate both lunch and dinner. Always exceptional, no matter what time of the day. Great atmosphere and plenty of choices.

We recently had the pleasure of visiting the Cradle Mountain Tavern Bar & Bistro as a family during a rainy April day in 2023. It turned out to be the perfect opportunity to seek refuge from the weather, and we were greeted with an experience that exceeded our expectations.As soon as we stepped inside, we were welcomed by a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The highlight of the tavern was undoubtedly the wood log fire, which not only kept us warm but also added a touch of rustic charm to the whole place. It created a comforting ambiance that made us feel right at home.We decided to indulge in some delicious food, and we were not disappointed. The menu offered a variety of options, and everything we ordered was not only pleasing to the taste buds but also served in generous portions that left us feeling satisfied.While we had initially ordered a pumpkin soup to complement the weather, there was a mix-up and we were served cauliflower soup instead. However, our server, Daniel, handled the situation exceptionally well. He displayed a high level of understanding and immediately offered to rectify the discrepancy. His customer-first approach was truly commendable, and we appreciate his effort to resolve the issue promptly.Despite the minor soup mix-up, our experience at Cradle Mountain Tavern Bar & Bistro was unforgettable. The combination of the inviting atmosphere, delectable food, and exceptional service made our visit truly enjoyable. Very cosy place with simple and delicious food. The chips is very crunchy , calamari is fresh and tasty. It’s a perfect rest point in between walking tracks to get warm.
