Would definitely recommend Ultimate Wood Heaters. We found they had a great selection of heaters and the service was very good. Lucas assisted us with choosing a wood heater and he was fantastic - in fact all the staff we had contact with were very friendly and helpful. We love our wood heater.They do lose a star because we had so many problems with the installation of our heater. We used their recommended installer, Wade, who did a very poor job installing our heater. We had problems with downdraught, things not be installed to Code, the flue was rattling and making grinding noises with the lightest breeze. His work was sloppy and the chimney coming through the roof is an eyesore from the outside. (Lucky it's in our back yard).He also demanded cash $450 which was very inconvenient. We ended up having to engage another installer who charged us $260 to fix Wade's mess.Get your heater from Ultimate Wood Heaters, but definitely get another contractor to do the installation.

Purchased the Spectre 100 16/07/22, mostly happy with the unit does feel like is struggles to heat entire house of 130m2 requiring filling the entire box (alot of wood) to feel good effect, probably need the bigger unit. However this entire experience is tainted by the install. Taking them up on their recommended installer Wade was a big mistake. Very dodgy installer, at initial install left a mess, broken tiles on left on roof, grass, in ceiling space wasn't a good sign. Fell and broke additional tiles which he asked if I had spares and requested I ask my neighbors which I did with no luck, ended up on gumtree to source these myself which he did later switched out. So after initial install seemed all good, he did say when leaving if it leaks let him know which seemed odd to me. So it rained and I got into my roof space and low and behold it was leaking, it also started leaking down the flue all the way into the house. So three revisits later to fix the leak, many unanswered texts, phone calls, only way I actually had him get back to me after the 1st revisit was to call Illusions where magically he becomes responsive. Had to do this 4 times. Ask to put a formal complaint in about the installer where the response was that would be with installers company, this blokes a sole trader.. so cut my losses and got someone else to have a look. Got a professional to take a look and attached the pictures, very poor silicon work, huge gap in the flashing obvious ingress point.The unit is now started to develop rust due to the water leakage, hopefully no long term damage to my house.I talk to about four different people when calling up and the stance the entire time was it isn't their accountability it's the installers and saying this never happens. Reading the reviews I see others with the same issues with Wade.There needs to be some responsibility if you recommended a dodgy installer to your customers.

We don’t normally do online reviews, but these guys deserve one!After a lot of research and comparisons with other suppliers what swung it for us was the friendly and knowledgeable service we got on the phone and instore. We had a number of quotes from other suppliers but the Illusion quote was very keen, so negotiating the deal was done.Delivery of the unit up in the Perth Hills was remarkable, on time almost to the minute! The freight team Illusion use are a class act.The fire (Illusion 3000, LPG) is in place. After living with it for a couple of months we are extremely happy with the outcome visually, output wise and the follow up customer service. We suggest that if you’re in the market for a heater Illusion should be at or, near the top of your list.

Great range, well priced and the well informed salesperson help me choose a wood heater that suited my needs. The installer was professional and arrived on time and completed the install with no fuss. My family is very happy with the warmth after a few cold weeks.

The installer, Wade, was knowledgeable, friendly and professional. He did a really neat install. Very happy with the service all round.

We received good service from Lucas at Illusions in Belmont Perth and enjoy our new wood heater. The only main issue is they only recommend one installer and he was very unreliable, never returned calls, didn't show up and obviously didn't want to do the job. Ended up finding our own installer (Jarred at Lifestyle cooling and heating) who did a fantastic job. I understand that the installers are separate to Illusions but if Dxx is their recommended installer then he is doing them a great disservice. I have never had such a bad experience than I had with this guy. If your busy, it's raining or you don't want the job then answer your phone or send a message and don't waste peoples time. Great heaters but use Jarred from Lifestyle if you want it installed buy a professional experienced tradie that provides good communication and service and don't waste your time waiting for their recommended installer. He's too busy!

We bought a wood heater, the Ultimate Elite 20 from Illusion in Perth. The heater was installed by their very knowledgeable installer Wade. From day one we didn't get what we expected, but now in the second colder season we really noted that our fire was not doing what is was supposed to do, warming up the house, the fire was also dying in the bum. After a visit from Wade it was concluded that there was an issue with the fire box. A new wood heater, the Ultimate Supreme 25 was installed today, a world of difference.Illusion Perth took our case serious and acted promptly by replacing the box to make sure we will stay a satisfied customer. This was great customer service from Lucas at Illusion in Belmont.
