Small friendly fish and chip shop. Chips were good, grilled barramundi was fantastic, kale salad fantastic also but the traditional battered fish was a bit of a let down being so thin and dry, I thought it was a potato scallop initially. Will go back for sure.

Dont think is fair to (fully) precooked-served fish and chips even for old school fish and chips. If very busy understandable but 4 customers? Although, I still think the battered recipe is great light n crispy but since is cooked a head of time fish was dried n chips is cold, it was Thur 2/2/23 outdoor around 28C. There is no way 2 minutes walk down to the beach front from the shop cause the dishes down to cooldown?

Located right across from the beach Just Hooked is a solid fish and chip option in the area. I ordered the traditional fish and chips, crispy batter on the fish and good chips. The menu includes the usual salads, and other seafood options.This local fish and chip store went through a massive renovation and the interior now is super cute.Limited parking out front but there is street parking and also beach parking across the street.There is both indoor and outdoor tables but best thing to do is get takeaway and cross the road to the beach.

We needed somewhere to stop for a good Friday feed, and these guys were open, ultra busy, properly staffed up and ready to feed us. I questioned them on pricing, as I didn't get a receipt, and in a very professional manner they re-enacted my transaction and gave me a breakdown down on pricing. Perfect service. And their fish cocktails? Huge, ACTUALLY fish, crispy batter and tasty, tasty, tasty. I was served by Chris and Angus, and they didn't disappoint. We'll use them again when we want good value, quality fish and chips in the Brighton Le Sands area.

Got the Barra burger and grilled fish and chips for dinner. Fish was nice and fresh and the staff were friendly. I would absolutely come back again.Most of the packaging was in paper and could be recycled ☺️I gave this place 5 for atmosphere because it was a pleasant place to sit while waiting for my food, but it is a take away place. So keep that in mind

I am consistently blown away by the incredible quality of the seafood at Just Hooked. Their portions are generous and always leave me feeling satisfied. The staff are also top-notch, providing excellent service and making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Ordered battered fish n chips. Unfortunately batter was rock hard, fish was lovely but chips were terrible. Friendly staff. I expect they can do better.

The best fish and chips in the area. Food is always fresh and tasty. Never ever greecy. Very good portions. I highly rate the quality of the food.

Really enjoyed lunch at Just Hooked. Away from the main strip of San Souci so you can get easy parking and views across to the water. Very good value, fish cocktails were $1.80 each and huge and small chips was plentiful at $5. The fitout and presentation of this shop is immaculate. Love the decor with the hanging baskets of ferns and the neon signage. I didn't even mind paying $2 for the small container of Tartare sauce because you could tell it was freshly made and was delicious! Really creamy and had bits of gherkins in it. Staff super friendly. Not a regular to the area but will stop here again for lunch next time down south.

Meh.On the positive, chips were crunchy and tasty. Fish was good, a little on the small side. Served with lemon and tartare.What grinds my gears? Greek salad that, before ordering, contains every greeky goodness, but when you get yours it contains 2 olives and zero feta. Dressing tart.Specials advertised but not available. Damnit I wanted those prawns!The venue was playing loud disco (lol!) on a Sunday afternoon. The staff seem to still be getting the hang of it and a little overwhelmed.Stiff competition in this area, our go to is priced similarly but would score 4.5 stars.
