Babinda Creek

Crystal clear water and Laid back area.

This is for the Babinda Creek rest area. Think that may be a different place to Babinda Creek but it is near by. This rest area is a short walk from the Babinda town centre and the awesome, must visit, @Boulders Tavern. Really nice rest area with toilets, showers, bins, dump point and lovely green grassy areas with plenty of room. A very popular place with the locals and a beautiful crystal clear river to swim and kayak on. Make sure you kayak to the right, up stream as it is safe to go for a couple of hours that way. If you go left and down stream there is a 3m salt water crocodile a bit further down the river but he stays away from the camp ground and it is totally safe to swim there.

Its a very peaceful place but some people seen cross but I lived in Babinda for3 years and seen none the water is very clear but sometimes in rain hard and the water gets a bit dark
