Most of the staff not really helpful, usually have water or cartons all over the floor but the worst is the self checkout counters where they always have 2 staff members standing and mostly chatting with each other and on a couple of instances when i had to ask for help one of them had been a little rude as i had disturbed them when they were standing and chatting even when the self checkout counters were busy.Not to mention that even though the closing time is 10pm but around 9:25pm ish (which is 35min before the closing time) on numerous occasions i have seen their entry door shutters being down.

To the Hygiene Manager for Coles Supermarkets,Have a loo at this putrid standards of hygiene found in your trolleys in Hornsby. The trolleys are beyond our Australian Hygiene Standards.I definitely cannot trust Coles supermarkets after this pics, I wonder what type of hygiene standard in practiced behind customers eyes? I waited in self checkout for a solid 15 minutes before someone can help me as I couldn’t finish checking out due to an error. There’s only one person working between the service desk and self checkout. HIRE MORE PEOPLE!!! Such a stupid cheap as store who can’t afford a second person to avoid this from happening

Sell off meat, dangerous, one lot of meat was so off as soon as I opened it it stank out my whole house and car. Drove it back and they had to accept it. Even ruin the bin they put it in. at least 3 weeks past due date - though lying on the label I think?? Be careful as this can kill. Urgently need food health inspector inspection and try meats.

I've been shopping at Coles Hornsby for years, and I had always been using the self-checkout. However today when I was on my way to the self-checkout, I was called by a staff who told me to go to a cashier. I thought it might because I was with a full trolly so I went. There was no one following me so I didn't put a divider on the belt.When my items were nearly finished there was another customer in the line but I was busy putting things into the bags so I didn't get a chance to put the divider. And the cashier asked me is this yours?" while she just scanned my last item

Large Cole's with a great range of fresh produce, bread products and a decent although standard deli. The staff here are super helpful and pleasant. They also police the mandated 2 cans of formula pretty diligently. I have seen staff on numerous occasions prevent people from buying more formula as they already had bought two cans that day. A liqourland is also located within the store. The store is wheelchair and pram accessible. Soul origin are located just outside the entrance so you can grab a coffee for your shop. Toilets are also located in the centre and parking is ample.

Fresh produce always in abundance and beautifully displayed.There is a lovely bakery section as well as an awesome deli section.I always had a soft spot for Hornsby Coles!
