Visited here recently for dinner - had been for lunch a few years ago but not had a chance to revisit until now.We visited on a Thursday night - didn't have a booking but we were able to get a table no problem as it was about 50% capacity.We ordered a bottle of wine which came quite quickly - only after it was poured did we notice the glasses weren't particularly clean - we just tried to clean the edges and didn't worry too much more.We both ordered eye fillet steaks - they weren't the best eye fillets we've had but they weren't too bad. I asked for mine medium, and it probably came out a little more medium-to-well, but not enough to warrant sending it back. The chips were super crispy which was great, however they had a strange seasoning - almost bitter and vinegary which ruined them in our opinion (there was nothing on the menu about a special seasoning). My partner was a bit perplexed that their pepper sauce was half the size of my bearnaise sauce - mine was definitely the right portion size for the meal. The side salad was ok, but too many onions (personal preference).In terms of service, it was ok. The waiter who greeted us was very friendly when taking orders etc. The waitress who brought out our food didn't bring steak knives - we tried for 3-4 minutes to get someone's attention but couldn't, so ended up having to get up and get them ourselves. At no time did anyone ask us how our food was (not even when collecting the plates) - even though we clearly heard them asking the other tables around us on multiple occasions. If they had, we would have provided feedback at the time.It was an ok experience - for the price, we were expecting a little more quality and level of service. Probably won't revisit.

Lamb backstrap - $32 worth of disappointment.Very small portion of lamb, and was super overcooked.Item was on the specials board, and read as though it came with potato salad, not deep fried new potatoes and garnish salad.First and likely last visit to Vault Yarraville.

A lovely place in Yaraville with a very positive vibe. Food was really tasty. Their choice of mushroom is awesome! We had a very relaxed breakfast and the service was great. I had scrambled eggs and my husband had eggs n hollandaise.. Would love to come back again.

Lovely and consistent.Good steak , mushroom sauce potatoes greens - just lacked a lil bit of ooomph.Pork ribs with swirl chips so yummy and tasty , awesome use of the sweet chilli and bbq sauces. Apple salad freah and all DeliciuosGood apple crumble, yummy sticky date.Will continue to come

I had come to the Yarraville Vault on 2 nights during last week.On the first night I was charged $154 for 2 mains, a side dish and a soda (unsure how it came to this amount and the owner must have mis clicked on the EFT machine). I have been following up on a refund for nearly a week and it appears the manager is avoiding this. I have now had to request a refund through my bank.The second occasion I could argue was worse. Me and my friend attended and ordered a garlic bread with cheese, and 2 of the 2x sliders. To be brought out 8 sliders and to have the staff member argue with us that we requested 4 each was poor service. We were charged over $90 for this.Regards to how the food tastes, the food is beautiful. The service needs some touching up.

Food was nice enough but it took an hour between ordering and receiving our mains. In addition they don’t have salt and pepper or Parmesan cheese or chilli oil readily available. Don’t go there on a Sunday if you are hungry.

Walking into this place was like entering an unsettling liminal space. Our reservation was completely ignored despite the restaurant being quiet. Waitstaff were inattentive and perpetually confused. Out of six drink orders, FOUR were incorrect and they even served alcohol to a sober customer who ordered a soda! After the negative experience with drinks, we decided to order the food through their online system. Three out of six meals were incorrect. The ragu was vile and greasy. The fish and chips came with the wrong fish somehow, and I did not even receive my food despite it being the same order as another person who got theirs. When asking for a manager, they hid out the back and sent the poor servers out to try and communicate. The chef had the audacity to tell the server to let us know this is how it comes". The whole experience was simply abysmal

Great place go for good and drinks and a talk. Tables inside and outside. Great on a warm night. Plenty of customers. Reasonably quick food service considering it was nearly full. Well worth trying.

Terrible service. Waited 20minutes for our drinks asked the waiter to check on it and said that it takes that long because of the system order & didn’t even check. Got our drinks they were warm.
