Sowerby's Crash Repairs

Mixed experience, always found Debbie in admin to be so helpful and polite with providing information and updates on my car. However when I was communicated to twice (via text and phone) that my car was ready to be collected was extremely disappointed to find out that is not actually what they meant. Being without a vehicle is difficult enough to find work arounds, poor communication about the vehicle's readiness to be collected when you are standing in reception expecting a quick hand-over of keys was an unfortunate final experience with the company. Cannot comment on the quality of the repairs yet, but communication with clients could certainly be improved!

Whilst Sowerby's has done a good job with my car( although I still have to take it back for other parts) the biggest fault I have experienced with them was lack of communication about when my car would be ready or why there was a delay. I was given an initial date of 13 th October and have picked it up on the 8th of November after other numerous dates of completion in between. Whilst my car was ready on Friday the 5th there was no communication about that till approximately 1 hour before and being a shift worker I was at work. Surely they would have some idea maybe on Thursday or early Friday at least!!. The phone calls that were supposed to come for updates very rarely did and no one could give me an actual date. This is incredibly frustrating!!

They have my car from 3 months still told me to wait 2 months more it was only right driver window damage this is ridiculous worst service ever

Great service and wonderful people to deal with

Unfortunately, due to a large number of jobs, it took 9 weeks through this company to get my car back. The rude telephonists had no idea of any progress, and when told I would receive a call after 6pm for an update, the call would not occur. After twice being called and told that the car was being put back together, and would be ready the next Tuesday, (Tuesday after Easter, and Tuesday after Anzac Day, 2021), I finally received the vehicle on the Thursday after Anzac Day. Lack of communication and updates on progress is severely lacking. After meeting the Owner Bill Sowerby, a sprightly 77yr old, it became obvious that his employees are the problem. He tries to run the company with an iron fist, yet his advanced years are unfortunately allowing customer service down. Nothing against Bill, or the quality of the work performed, yet receiving calls 3 weeks apart saying the job is done, while waiting almost another month with next to no progress information, and no returned calls at different stages, is very disappointing.

Outstanding service. I was reluctant to take my BMW to a shop in a town I was not familiar with. The attention to detail is second to none. I asked to have a scratch repaired on the left front. These guys resprayed my entire front end!I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended.
