Young Federation Motor Inn

Young Federation Motor Inn is setting the benchmark for motels in the area. Large room, king bed, nice balcony with park views, good sized TV with bar fridge and snacks to suit. Large modern bathroom with walk-in shower, good water pressure, and double sink. Absolutely can't fault the place - first time and will stay here in future. I stayed here recently as I was visiting Young for a friend's wedding. The room was really nice ground floor clean linen and well set up bathroom. They provided a toaster a kettle some cups and saucers. Very comfortable bed with good pillows. Free parking on site and plenty of it. There is a nice small salt water pool where you can relax. Across the road is the club which is quite nice. The negative feedback I have is: the room has a folder which advertises a few times over that they have room service from 6pm to 9pm, however, every time I rang the front desk/ number provided there was no answer. I do understand this is a rural town and they may not always have the staff for room service but they can inform guests if this is the case. The kitchenette area is strange as there is no sink so if you want water for the kettle to make tea or coffee you need to get it from the bathroom which is weird. They provide some dish washing liquid and a cloth for washing dishes but they expect it to be washed in the bathroom? On arrival I ordered breakfast for the next morning, at 8:15 when the break fast was expected there was no sign of my meal. I waited till 8:30 and I called the front desk twice to ask where my meal was and there was no answer again!! suddenly at 8.40 a.m the man in the room next door knocked on my door to give me my breakfast saying they had accidentally given my meal to him! I just find that ridiculous as my room number was on the place card on the breakfast tray. I strongly advise not to order this breakfast it is absolutely not worth it bland and watery tasting eggs very basic and costs $14. Better to walk down to the local cafes and have breakfast there. The reception closes at 10pm which is understandable but at around midnight someone came to my hotel room door kicking and banging at the door it really loud it was a stranger. I didn't open the door and had to yell out at him to get away from my door-there is absolutely no security or someone to call if you need help!! So if no one is at reception there should be some one we can call in that instance! When I was checking out the staff were doing room service and one of them threw a half empty bottle of water from the top floor down to the ground floor. Strange thing to do knowing people are in the process of checking out, there are customers cars parked right there and the bottle almost hit me on the head! All in all the place is okay with the few options in the place I would rate it better than others they just need to improve some of their services.

Stayed in the superior twin room. Nice and modern room and bathroom. Friendly staff around the place.Only thing that could be improved is more storage around the bathroom sink.

Lovely motel and staff.great you can just walk to the club for meals across the road. The room service is great too. And venue so close to the main street.

Nice inn with decent facilities, stayed in a range of rooms and they are always clean. Parking is often an issue as rooms outnumber parking spots so had to park on the street a few times. They also appear to be inconsistent with restocking bar fridge, had visits where it’s restocked daily and some where days are missed, and this visit hasn’t been restocked all week.

i honestly had a good think and i just cannot fault this place ! stayed three nights . room service from the club delivered to your room was a great option. meals are a great size for hungry travelers who just want to chill out in the room .friendly staff at reception and you know they care when they call you by your first name .cleaning staff should be awarded too. they have the big job and always happy and smiling . the big GUY 5 stars to him , bloody champion .definitely be back.

Really impressed with the room. Had everything one would expect and everything functioned how it should. Nice big space, plenty of room to work, super comfortable bed and nice big clean bathroom. Across the road from a restaurant that serves good food.

We had a wonderful time at the Federation motor inn, our event The Pontiac Nationals" was held in Young over Easter with the entire complex booked out. Everyone enjoyed themselves and complimented me on choosing this motel as our main place to stay. Rooms were excellent and would recommend to anyone to come and stay a few days."

Good clean room, experience was all good until 11pm to 12am room backed unto park area drunk woman yelling and screaming until the police showed up. Then peace and quiet kicked in.
