Bendles Cottages

I've stayed the past 2 weeks at these lovely cottages for work. It's been such a great place to stay. Clean, super comfy bed, lovely food hamper,I'd definitely stay again and recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, easy getaway

Bendles Cottages was so peaceful and relaxing. The view from the deck looked out to a pretty garden with a water fountain and pond with the birds singing all day. We stayed in Toorak cottage which was lovely, comfy bed, great kitchen with awesome brekky supplied bacon, eggs, milk, juice, cereal and bread enough for 2 days plus there is a fireplace for during the winter months. We enjoyed a few Netflix movies as well.

Decent cottage accommodation, comfortable size and fully equipped kitchen, though the bed & couch are in need of updating. Kindling for the fireplace was not supplied, but we easily foraged a bunch from under the gum trees (you'll need this to properly ignite the large chunks of hardwood provided). Road noise bearable outside, but it's definitely not in a secluded & tranquil location. Protip: TV reception is very limited so bring your Apple TV or laptop to plug in, as the in-room wifi, whilst slow by city standards is adequate for streaming. It's a nice enough place but I didn't think the $230/night price was justified.

We spent 4 nights at Bendles over Christmas. The cottage was well equipped and the setting was beautiful amongst the gardens. The bed was large and comfortable and the double spa bath was really nice. However, for proclaimed 4 star accommodation, we felt it was a little lacking and overpriced compared to other accommodation of the same ranking. The breakfast hamper was lovely but not enough to last 4 days, same with the coffee pods etc. The room was not made up at all during our stay, even the bins we had to empty ourselves and replace. Which would be absolutely fine if not for the expectation of a4 star experience. Had it been advertised as 3 star with rates to suit it would have been perfect.

Perfect quiet get-away location, amazing fit-out and supplied provisions. Great location for all local attractions. Private cabins surrounded by well kept natural greenery. We'll definitely be back.

We loved our stay at bendles cottages. Beautifully maintained and private cottages and gardens. The hosts Sue and John were very friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing. Very yummy cooked breakfasts on the weekend too, which we enjoyed on our cottage balcony. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed at Bendles Cottages last night after getting caught in the Bruce Highway closure. The cottages are lovely!! It was such a relief to have a clean, beautiful and fully equipped place to stay, including food!! Thank you so much for your kind hospitality and helping me out in an emergency. I would thoroughly recommend your place and I will to friends and family!

Our cottage was just delightful. Clean, fresh and welcoming. Lots of firewood available and delicious breakfast supplies on hand. Couldn’t have asked for more for a weekend away. Julie and Darren warm and welcoming… even during COVID.
