Luke and the team at A.M Decks were a pleasure to deal with,. There were some changes we required prior to the works starting and Luke was able to accommodate them without fuss. The works were done in a timely manner and we're very happy with the installation.

When I was looking for builders to build our deck, we contacted at least 10 different builders. There was a mixed bag of no response at all, responses saying that they don’t service Altona Meadows, some came to quote, and were then never heard from again.However, Andrew and Luke were professional throughout the entire experience, with prompt replies to emails, text messages, and phone calls. We also changed our mind regarding the design about 4 or 5 times, and I was never left with the feeling that they only wanted to do whatever would be easiest for them to just get the job done, but wanted to complete the job to how we wanted it done. If I have any further decking needs in the future, I would absolutely use them again.

Extremely disappointed with the finished" deck. I don't recommend

Desapointed by the final result. We were rushed to make the final payment and when I asked to come back to fix some issues with the Deck, haven't heard from them. Not recommended if you are after a good product.

Our deck was completed very quickly and we would have been delighted if not for the follow up on two defects. We made a mistake of paying the invoice in full in good faith even though we discussed the defects. Andrew promised to fix them “tomorrow”. Tomorrow seems to be Andrew’s “go to” word. We spent two weeks trying to follow up and he would either not answer the phone or promise another “tomorrow”. Eventually he stopped answering calls and texts altogether. It wasn’t until we filed a VCAT complaint that he called us back and told us another made up story that he was actually a different Andrew and the original Andrew went back to the UK and “folded” the company. This is where we are at. We’ll see what VCAT says.

We had a lot of trouble finding someone to build our roofed deck because we are in a green wedge and needed planning approval. Andrew took on the job and got all the approvals in a timely manner. The deck and roof were built quickly and with a minimum of fuss. Minor issues were resolved without too much trouble. We were happy enough with the work to get Andrew to extend an existing deck on the other side of the house.

Excellent experience with A.M Deck builders, from the quote right through to cleanup. Very efficient and friendly construction crew and our small deck at the front of our Highett townhouse turned out better than expected. Would definitely recommend.

Top workmanship and my reasonable sized job was completed within 3 days, which included a problem with my local timber merchants not having the posts I wanted. Was a bit of a communication issue before job but no worse than any of the other tradies i have dealt with.

So happy with the work these guys did to my home. New pergola and new deck. They were very professional and tidied up after themselves when they were finished. Would most definitely recommend AM Deck builders Melbourne to anybody looking for someone to transform them area. They are some of the finest carpenters in Melbourne that I was lucky enough to come across
