Linda Woods Design

Linda is it true professional. Her approach to determine what my wife, and my style was, how these styles complement each other and how they are different, and then using these styles to inform the renovation design process was fantastic. She listened and was responsive to what we wanted out of the house, and thought about it from the perspective of what it would be like to live in the house following the renovation. This was different to conventional builders we had also engaged to develop a price and design for the renovation too. Conventional builders processes focused on building additional rooms with little consideration for style, functionality or liveability of the new structure in conjunction with the original house, whereas this was Linda main focus. I would highly recommend Linda.

I did one of Linda’s first workshops. I didn’t know quite what to expect when I first signed up. But I ended up having so much fun and learnt so much more than I thought I would. I discovered so much that I didn’t know about interiors which was really helpful as I had not long built a house. So I knew how I wanted to furnish and style it! I highly recommend doing one of Linda’s workshops!

I enjoyed every minute of Part 1 &2 in Place Craft Design. I completed one of PCI's 6 week interior design workshops and absolutely loved it! Linda is a delight and very switched-on designer and teacher. Throughout the classes she passionately shared heaps of practical tips and design guidelines that any of us can easily put to work in our own spaces. She brought in some great experts from various related fields and we finished up with inspiration boards to get us started on our own projects, a great list of local suppliers and a truck-load of inspiration! Definitely recommend for anyone with a passion for interior design, wanting some help getting started on styling and decorating their own space.

Linda is a great communicator and knowledgeable in her field. The Place Craft course helped open my eyes to possibilities in design as well as gave me confidence to make decisions throughout our renovations.I have also used her interior design services to help choose colors, furniture layout, tiles, kitchen layout etc. Her ability to get so much done within the consultation time limit I put on her was amazing!! I’ll be sure to use her services again.

We had tried already to design an extension with the help of a draftsman and it was a disaster! We realised pretty quickly after that we needed a professional to help us make the millions of decisions required when building. Linda was our saviour, coming in and pinpointing our “style” and giving us the confidence to try again. We have been living in our newly renovated/extended house for nearly 2 months and we are still realising how important it was to have Linda guide us through. We are ecstatic with our new place and the way the design allows us to “live our best life” in the house. We highly recommend Linda - she listens, gives her expertise and brings everything together to make an amazing house which we will enjoy for the rest of lives. Don’t go it alone - we wouldn’t be where we are today without Placecraft!
