Northern Ultrasound for Women

I cannot endorse this place enough. Five stars is an understatement. From beautiful Marie at the front desk to Shawn Choong who has done all our pregnancy scans, they're just the best team of caring lovely people. Shawn's expertise and experience in this field is admirable, and he goes above and beyond the call of duty with such attention to detail at every scan, and so much care for each little precious unborn miracle, care of maternal health also. We cannot recommend Northern Ultrasound enough, blessed to have such amazing medical talent in our Melbourne community.

Very friendly staff at the counter. We always had pleasant experiences while making an appointment and very accommodative while rescheduling appointments. The scanning experience has been great with the results sent to the doctor very quickly. So overall a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this place.

Would not recommend coming here. It was recommended by my doctor and I had two bad experiences in a row. The first scan I had an awful experience with a person who was really rough and had zero bedside manner. She seemed annoyed that the baby was in the wrong place and was painfully rough. The second scan I had a much nicer person however reception are terrible communicators and were very rude when I requested a medical certificate the next day, blaming me and saying how if I’d just ‘asked on the day’ I could have got it then amongst other things. Over $600 later I’ll be going elsewhere in future.

It was such a pleasant experience for me and my husband when we did our baby ultrasound today. Dr. Shawn is very thorough in conducting my ultrasound. Everything was video documented and after we finished he provides us the files in a flash drive and several printed ultrasound photos. We've been to several places but Northern Ultrasound for Women is the next level. Thank you Dr. Shawn and the staff there.

I would never post a negative review about an individual for no reason, but unfortunately, the Sonographer who recently did my 20-week scan was rude and unprofessional.I can see some other reviews have had a similar experience – which is a real shame because it’s an exciting time to be able to see our growing babies and it was just dulled by this lady.I wouldn’t recommend this place, purely based off that experience.

I have COVID and was guilt tripped by reception when I called to reschedule my appointment last minute because “now they have no one to fill the spot.” I’ve been here once before and it was an extremely pleasant experience, so to have this experience was a real shame.

Everyone was so lovely, kind and super supportive with ensuring I felt okay and comfortable with my HyCoSy procedure. The ladies at reception were just wonderful and Dr Shawn Choong was brilliant and so wonderful in the whole process.Thank you again !

Dr Shawn was amazing today. Was the best experience at my 13 week scan. His bedside manner was impeccable and my scan was extremely thorough. Thank you Dr Shawn - can’t wait for the 20 week!

I called up trying to book in a 20 week scan at the last minute because the nearby place I was originally booked in at would not allow my partner (father of my child) to be in the appointment, which is absolutely ridiculous considering Melbourne is out of lockdown, and he is doubled vaxed! They wouldn’t allow him at my 12 weeks scan either, even though he would have worn a mask, social distanced etc!!!.I called up Heidelberg, and Marie went above and beyond to fit me in and said ‘of course we allow partners into the scan, they are just as much part of the journey as the mother’. I don’t often leave reviews but felt this was necessary. Thank you Marie and the team!!!
