Acclaim Rose Gardens Beachside Holiday Park

Very disappointing experience at this caravan park. All facilities were very dirty, toilets, kitchen and the recreation room were disgusting. Bins were overflowing for a few days. The cherry on the cake was that our cooling bag got stolen from the fridge. The reception didn’t even apologise but said that using the fridge was at our own risk. Worst experience camping in WA.

Our recent family trip to Acclaim Rose Gardens was a late booking so we were surprised to get a spot in the park. Reviews were not enthralling however we crossed our fingers and hoped only the negative people were posting!The park is old and in real need of a cash splash which is never easy to come across. Whilst the team at the park provided friendly service they are clearly hamstrung by the lack of funds. Groundstaff always saying hello and checking you are ok. Not one issue with the people side of things. Thank you for a seamless check-in/out process.Rec room - fusbal table with missing ball and has seen many better days. Table tennis table was not in good shape. That's all there was really. Playground was old and dated. Understand the Big 4 parks spent a lot of money but if you have kids it's a no brainer when it comes to choice, if you have one.Amenities. New block in the centre of the park is nice. Older block towards office is really poor. Hand soap was rare and toilets are very old and appeared to be neglected. Showers were tiny and I can't say if they were cleaned as tiles were disgusting. Nobody's fault, just their age.Location is super. Two beaches either side of the park. What more can you ask for.Food van on-site nightly for busy periods is a great addition. Never ate there as we weren't aware it was there and had bought food for each night however others noted the food was of a good quality.The holiday took me back to the 90s. Hopefully there is an injection of funds sometime soon which could see more people return.Would we visit again? Unlikely but it is said with a heavy heart as our kids had a ball and that's all that matters I guess.

We have stayed at the park quite a few times over the years and have always found it nice and quite acceptable for the price. The park is in a lovely area and the staff have always been friendly.This year however we stayed for a week right after Christmas with 3 families including 5 children, and were put into the very old section towards the front of the park. It was a long walk to the new toilets so we were forced to use the old ones which were definitely not up to scratch. There is only a very small playground for the children. A family of 2 adults and 3 children paid $120 per night to stay at the park. We feel the section of the park where we stayed was less than 3 stars. When we discovered the Big 4 just up the road, which has a super new water park and a bouncy castle for the children to play on and also charged $120 p/n for 2 adults and 3 children for the week right after christmas we felt quite ripped off. We feel Rose Gardens is not worth the high price we paid and from now on we will probably be staying at the Big 4.

Positives - good seaside location even if a little longer to drive into town. Grassed site. Good old fashioned shower curtains to minimise water in dressing area of shower cubicle. Also good shelves etc to put soap and shampoo. My site was alongside the main road but quiet at night, so ok. The tree shade would have been good in summer.Negatives - OMG, that old ablutions block. Disgusting: dirty 24/7 as others have noted, is it ever cleaned, decrepit, lights didn't work one night, hard to move in the squeezy shower cubicles as others have noted. The newer ablutions block in the middle of the park is good but seemed to be dirty 24/7. The single hand cleaner dispenser was out of service for the 3 days I used this block. No hand sanitiser either. All makes a mockery of the hand-washing poster on the wall. So BYO soap, towel and sanitiser. When I menioned it to the manager, the reply was The ablutions hadn't been cleaned yet." Well

Loved the location of of the park, and we stayed here 4 years ago. Maintenance certainly hasn't been a priority. We were very disappointed with the cleaning of the amenities. Park was to full and they were obviously checked only once a day. Mostly in terrible state whatever time you went there. Soap dispenser were empty for three days. More staff need to be employed during this peak time and amenities checked several times a day and don't try and tell me they are checked/cleaned twice a day.

Reception lady and maintainence man was rude and unhelpful.. Spoke to us with very little respect and is unprofessional. Place unclean and rundown. We paid for 3 powered site, one had 2 huge bins blocking access and the other with no access due to person in front site. If we didn’t know our neighbours there would be no way for us to get our cars out. No direct power or water to 2 sites and was charged full price anyways and when raising our concerns staff could not care less and was disgustingly rude to us. All about money and no care for customer service. Def don’t recommend. It is overpriced for a supposed power site and we’ve had the worst experience i’ve ever had with accommodations. We are frequent campers.

We stayed 5 nights in our caravan with 2 kids and 2 dogs. We had a prime site with beautiful views only a few meters from the ocean. The site was nice and large with plenty of space to fit our 4wd and 24ft caravan. The park was nice and quiet with noise always being kept to a minimum and Other campers anlways friendly and respectful. Although it was quite cold during our stay at night the days seemed to warm up and the sun was lovely. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The amenity blocks were kept very clean as was the rest of the park. There were a few things we noticed during our stay like some pot holes in the roads within the park, but these were fixed during the stay by the staff. At night the stars were magnificent and there were even a few fury friends that bounced around (rabbits). My family enjoyed our stay and we will for sure be back!

Owners were very welcoming, price for powered site is cheap ($45) considering the position. Toilet block was clean and tidy, great streaming hot shower with great pressure. Lovely walking trail along the beach to a Cafe on the point.

Having stayed at the park for the first time I had a very enjoyable experience and good company in the park. The only area I could see the park needs to do is more attention to detail in cleaning the showers and toilets, otherwise the park was very well looked after.

Prime position. Staff excellent nil maintenance carried out.The shower recess has mould in shower and ceiling.ALL taps need adjustment and washers.Refrigerator leaks. Exhaust fan didn't seem to work.
