Easy and straight forward experience. Picked up hire car from Hobart and dropped off at Launceston airport. Great little MG sedan. Low kms when we picked up and easy to drive.

Thanks to Allison at the counter at Launceston airport.i hadgot my pick up point confused with the city pick up. Allison was so accommodating. The was able to upgrade my vehicle, and able to find me a fantastic rate. Thanks so much.

Tried to book a truck a week in advance in both Launceston and the airport but was refused by both places, was told they was in hi demand and had to take a chance on the day. Always booked with budget in the past for car hires and trucks will not be moving forward with them.

I will never use budget car rentals again this was in launceston airport, lady knew nothing, told the excess reduction fee per day was $4 not it was $40 per day, did a quote on line came to $240 approx then with the excess reduction fee was over $440 for 3days. someone did a little bump in the front in the carpark, now even with the excess reduction fee cost me for three days $1376, what a joke,

Friendly staff, quick service and cars are in good conditions. The price is competitive. Unfortunately I always have to ask for my invoice several times before I receive an email back.Also, the 3rd party screens mirror too much which makes it impossible to see anything on it at sunrise and sunset. During daytime it's okay.

Had stones hit windscreen of vehicle, at no fault of our own. When we rang budget to inform them they said yes that's been happening alot because of the roadworks

I recently had the pleasure of renting a car from Bargain Car Hire and I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish, the experience was fantastic. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to Emily from Budget’s Launceston airport branch for her exceptional assistance and kindness.Due to the domestic flight cancellations on 14 April 2022, my 3 friends and I had to reschedule our flight to 15 April evening. The flight was further delayed and we arrived at the airport around 9pm.We had initially booked a car from another company at the airport, which had re-confirmed with us that we could collect the car on 15 April night instead. However, we were taken aback when their ground staff could not find our confirmation and told us that our car had not been transferred to the airport for collection. They were unable to assist us any further, effectively leaving us stranded at the airport, with our accommodation for the night a 2-hour drive away in St Helens.Emily was the only person still at the counters, and we asked her if she had any vehicles available. It was almost 10pm and she was preparing to leave, but stayed to help us instead, to book the only vehicle she had available. Although she faced issues with processing the confirmation, she took extra steps to ensure that all could be sorted out.Her dedication to her work and willingness to go the extra mile made all the difference to us that night, and allowed us to carry on our trip instead of spending the night at the airport. For that, we are truly grateful. Thank you Emily! :D

Staff were pleasant. However, I have two concerns.Firstly, I was supposed to be upgraded with my booking through Air Canada. This happened at the Brisbane Airport location but not the Launceston Airport location.Secondly, I was overcharged nearly $500.00 for fuel. I have made multiple requests to get this sorted and have now called Budget twice. It is six weeks later and I still have yet to get this resolved. Extremely disappointed in the slow and painful customer service.I won’t be using Budget again.
