You know youve found a mechanic for life when you go to Gearmatics. I took my Lexus to 6 other mechanics (including Lexus at Brighton and Blackburn) with not one person being able to even diagnose the issue with my car. Tom at Gearmatics diagnosed, quoted and fixed my (previously) un-drivable car within a week. Tom came recommended by other industry experts and rightly so. Very knowledgeable, excellent workmanship, very affordable price. Could not sing louder praises. The 1 star ratings appear to be a part of some bully tactics. I would look beyond those. Highly recommend doing business here!

My dad is a 75 year old man that took his car to a man here named Tom, not only did Tom charge him $750 for fixing the car but didn’t fix it at all. He refused to return the money to him and then when Tom saw my dad on the street asked how the car was going and laughed at my dad knowing well it wasn’t working. I think it’s disgusting that he took advantage of a 75 year old man with not much money to his name. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone and Tom should be ashamed of himself. You should know better.

I have used Tom for many, many transmissions. He is extremly knowledgable about the inner workings and problems and gets the job done" . You will not be dissappointed and he will fix it."

Dropped off the falcon wagon. Air con laeking cold water on my feet, heater no working. Tom fixed them all.

Rang around Melbourne looking for a good price on a fitted reco transmission. Tom took on the work, fitted it on the day before we went into covid look down. Had no problems and operating as it should but it's great to have the two year/40000km warranty just in case. Highly recommend this place, it's all business and it seems they take pride in their work and they're happy to keep their customers happy also.

I dont believe all the one star reviews in the last week are from customers who have personally used gearmatics it seems one person has had a bad experience and has used bully tactics to form a pack together and slam a hard working family business they have never used. Just my opinion since I have been a customer of this shop and i got nothing but honesty upfront about my transmission communicated throughout the rebuild and gave me options every step of the way as it was a high performance custom vehicle and it has not missed a beat since. Tom knows his stuff and i recommend him to anyone who mentions their gearbox or transmission.

Fantastic service from Tom. Pricing is very competitive you're getting the job done right and You will not be ripped off!It's always nice to come to a place where they care about the job they do! If you need your gearbox serviced, you won't find the better place than the Gear-matics.Before I get my gearbox repaired by Tom, I went to another shop in Keysborough, and they told me that my gearbox must be rebuilt, and it will cost $2600 plus.The real problem was that the transmission was leaking fluid and wasn't shifting gears and did not require any rebuild. Tom was able to fix it at a fraction of the price another shop quoted me. Now my Merc is smooth as new, can hardly feel the gears change and no more oil leaks. I strongly recommend these guys they have saved me thousands.I'm Extremely Happy with Gear Matics and happy to recommend them to allJack K.

Tom was fantastic in replacing our transmission and carrying out our logbook servicing on our other vehicle. He is meticulous in all the work he does. I highly recommend Gear-matics for high quality friendly and professional service.
