Gunnedah Hot Bread
The pies are fabulous, one of only a handful in 4 states that does not give me severe heartburn. But the real standout is their selection of cakes and slices ( we sampled several) not all at once, we took them home and they lasted freshly over several days. The only drawback is that they only take cash so you have to find an ATM if like me you never carry cash. Well worth stopping for.

Steak pie good.Pepper steak pie OK.Steak and potato pie bad.Vanilla slice had some kind of lemon icing.Chocolate eclair was very plain.No eftpos.Probably won’t go back.

No eftpos, sausage roll tasted like a frozen one, I don't think they are cooked by the bakery. Also had some donuts, that were also not very nice.

I like to try custard tarts in the different towns we go through, as we travel this wonderful and diverse country of ours. Gunnedah hot bread makes amazing Custard Tarts, they would have to be one of the best I have tasted, wonderful consistency and fantastic flavour.The staff are friendly and attentive, even though the shop was quite busy at the time.Their range of baked goods on display is extensive & if you are not a custard tart fan like myself, it could be a hard choice.

This little gem makes amazing Vietnamese- style bread rolls. The bread is beautifully crusty, and the filling tastes just as good as what we get in Chatswood.And, their coffee is very yummy too, which is a bonus!
