Lindsay House

Truly a luxurious experience - this guest house is nothing but spectacular. The beautiful grand bedrooms are styled so beautifully, and the private bathrooms are gorgeous. I will always stay here when visiting Armidale! A must!

Loved the historical architecture and the vintage furniture all throughout the home when we stayed for the night in late June this year. As we checked in after 5pm, the room keys were left promptly for us at the entrance. Would recommend this place to anyone who loves nostalgia.

I loved Lindsay House, such a lovely, old, charming home, I was upgraded to the master suite upon arrival and had one of the best sleep in a long while. Tastefully decorated with a cozy little fireplace at the bottom of the staircase. Pam is a lovely host and she's sure to make you feel most welcome and at home. I could not recommend this enough. I will be back again next time in Armidale.

We recently stayed at the beautiful, heritage listed Lindsay House in Armidale and could not speak highly enough of our stay.The charm and character of the property was paralleled by the house’s warm and accommodating host, Pam.The furnishings were tasteful and her attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the house.We would certainly recommend Lindsay House, particularly if you like the idea of stepping back in time to a bygone era when quality and elegance were a part of every day.We will be back!

Lovely place. I was in Armidale for work and didn't want the motel experience. This was perfect. Character-filled house, warm (it was winter), lovely big room, sun room to sit in, and close to centre of town. Pam was very helpful and a good host. I knew it wasn't going to have breakfast so no disappointment there as for some others.

Beautiful historic house with well maintained rooms that were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Host was fabulous and friendly. Easy walk into town. Would recommend this place to anyone looking to appreciate a piece of history. Attention to detail was on display in every room.

The charm just oozes out of this place. It’s everything you love about an old country house - high ceilings, old dark wood and light that pours through large windows. The room that I had was HUGE and so incredibly comfortable.

I booked the Harris room at Lindsay House through Expedia. It was supposed to have a Queen sized bed and a beautiful bow window with a view. When we arrived on the day at around 4pm, we were told that the room had already been booked by other guests and that my Expedia reservation was not in their system. Initially we were told that we were out of luck, as the house was fully booked. Upon further checking, the manager found a smaller room with two separate single beds, a small window and no view. The room was unprepared for guests, as it was very cold inside. She was kind enough to bring in a plug-in electric heater and after some time it warmed up. The bathroom was extremely chilly still though. We paid a premium price for one of the better rooms but eventually got one of inferior class and with separate beds. I thought, ok, I'm sure we'll get a refund when I get back to Expedia and that's the end of it. How naive I was... after hours of waiting on the phone and days expecting a response, this is what Expedia tells us in an email: I have received email from property wherein they said the reservation was not cancelled. You have already stayed the night

Wonderful guest house with period decor, Easy stroll to restaurants and cafe for breakfast. Great location. Very clean, tidy and quiet. Pam was a great host and offered a comfortable room that feels homely.
