Carlile Swimming Castle Cove

The staff are friendly but the facilities are second rate. The entire change room is the size of an average house bathroom. I've never seen that many people packed into such a tiny room. On top of that the pool is small, and subdivided into tiny segments. The kids run out of space after swimming 5 metres.

Negatives: They are totally inflexible, and terrible customer service attitude:1. They don't offer make-up classes. I am sure plenty of families with young children will come cross illness, or unplanned events. It is only fair to offer at least one make-up class.2. They make it very difficult if you ever want to cancel direct debit. They happily let the direct debit run even if you have not been in there for weeks. Busy households, you have to remember to contact them if you haven't been there for weeks.The change room facility is terribly inadequate. They are too small, and there is no floor space to get changed.They do follow up calls, but they really don't care how you think. They won't engage in any feedback.Positives: They have some good teachers, and pools are heated to a nice warm temperature.

what is the most important thing in teaching? Great intertaining and experienced trainers, and Henry is one of them. All other trainers are great too, friendly and trying hard to make the lessons interesting for kids. This is also an indication of good management and their approach to their staff. Well done guys. It is really a better place compared to the others whete we've been in the last 6 years (Jump, Hornsby aquatic, Barker's).

All 4 of our children have learnt to swim at Carlile Castle Cove. We love the staff most of all. It’s a pretty special bunch, who always welcome us with a smile and enthusiasm, and some how know everyone’s names. The centre is sparkling clean and the training is the perfect combination of serious and fun. In the early days of lessons, the coaches were fantastic at taking the time to build confidence in my pre-schoolers to separate from me, and trust the teacher and enter the pool. Now they are off and away working through the levels, learning incredible technique, and loving it. The kids can’t wait for swimming lesson days!

Rating: 10/10Short review: Great staff, entertaining curriculum, fun.Long review: I have been to Carlile for a number of years (since I was a baby) and I haven’t had a single day that I was disappointed in them (that I can remember of course). The staff are all extremely friendly and fun, and the curriculum is fun and interesting. The decoration and events they hold are always exciting and entertaining.Would recommend to all kids and teens.

Smallist pool meant more for swim classes rather than a family outing. Parking isn't the most convenient so might take a few turns finding a spot.That said it's a great place for kids to learn to swim. Instructors are nice and friendly and Lotsa of kids take lessons there

I would like to make a special mention to the hard working staff at Castle Cove in particular Mitch. From our family of 4 thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm and professionalism. Your kind and encouraging nature has helped our children thrive in the swimming pool. We really appreciate all the effort you have gone to. Many thanks once again. No bad comments about the swimming, however I found dealing with them as a business quite unpleasant.They make it very hard for you to cancel a direct debit - why can't you cancel in the portal or via an email or a call? And take direct debit payments without notifying you.Also they told us that no one has ever complained about this before, but reading the reviews on here - that's clearly untrue.

The centre manager called me the day after below event happened yesterday, showed nice gesture and made me feel valued as a long term customer. I have been told : the lady i spoke with yesterday is actually from a call centre, no star for her.Very bad customer service experience. Be aware that there at only 8 makeup lessons you can have EVERY YEAR. Given the covid situations since beginning of this year (close contact, symptom etc.) the make up lessons can easily be over 8. You will not be notified in any way other than after they charged your account. There is no customer service at all from the lady I spoke to. totally cold and no sympathy.

The school and staff here are absolutely fantastic! Friendly, helpful and dedicated in ensuring children are placed in the right class based on their level, not age. We unfortunately experienced Willoughby Leisure Centre for a semester that was quite the opposite, and cannot express enough the difference it makes to have a school focussed entirely on children, swim safety and being flexible with families. Swim class has now gone from a chore to something fun.
