Great place not only for the kids but adults too,, bring the past back to life,, from space exploration,, flight,, kids toys and interactive experience,, old trains and coaches,, life overseas display,, very big building to interest all,, see you there

Great museum with fascinating exhibits and plenty of interactive science experiences that assist learning. Was lucky enough to catch the Unpopular exhibition and the lowered Catalina seaplane. Easy access from light rail.

Powerhouse Museum
Admission is free right now. They have a video introducing things in the museum and that was nice. The mini car section and steam engine sections were pretty cool.

Powerhouse Museum
There are some great sections, and then there are some not so much. Kids may enjoy the exhibits on space and old trams, trains. Entry is free, and there are school tours often here. Guidance on exhibits can be better, and a map with the recommended path can help. A nice experience for may be 2 hours. Interactive sections on science, space, and old steam engines will keep kids happy.

It's quite an interesting museum, I specially loved the interactive science expo and the Space one. The entry is free so that's always appreciated. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is due to the number of closed expos, I believe they were under maintenance but still such a shame :(If you have a few extra days in Sydney, do give it a go :)

Great place to visit with kids. This place has a lot of this to offer. From space information, science experiments and visual arts. Kids loved it. Surprised that it is free.However I found the staff very rude. Talking in the rude way with kids while stopping them to climb on the train while they can put sign to let people know.Parking at near by Novotel hotel is available at the cost of 20$ flat on weekends which can reduce to 17$ if ticket gets authenticated at the museum reception.Except this it worth a visit

Interesting museum with some different exhibitions. Could do with a more updated display of exhibits. It does see. Like a great place to take kids as there is lots fun for them to take part in.

Love love love this museum!! My kids had a blast experience here, they didn't want to leave!! So many things to see and try! Many cool science experiment displays, so much better than in Wollongong one. Even for us adults, it was a fun experience! The best part: it's free!!

Powerhouse Museum
Was here for the Gucci Garden Archetypes exhibition, and definitely appreciated all the hard work being put into the event. Very well thought through, very Instagrammable, and most importantly it was free. Too bad we didn't have time to roam around the many other parts of this large museum, but chanced upon some other interesting looking spaces for sure.
