Coffee is pretty good, the bakery is more filling than expected. Would recommend the one with soybean powder, the filling is cream cheese with red bean paste. Can skip the sweet potato one, the Portuguese tart is not as good as expected but that’s their signature

This bakery is certainly tenacious with their creations! I quite like the corn cheese, which had a good balance between soft and crunchy textures, and wasn't overwhelming in flavor or size either. The injeolmi was also pretty good; the cream and red bean paste filling was smooth and generous, though it might be a little too sweet for some. The portuguese seem to be their signature but it pales in comparison mostly because it didn't taste any different from a regular portuguese tart, so $12 for it is not quite worth it in my opinion.

I recently visited this bakery cafe and had their Portuguese tart, which was hands down the best one I've had in Sydney. The crust was perfectly flaky and the filling was rich and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. It was the BEST! However, the seating and tables were a bit uncomfortable, which detracted from the overall experience. Despite this, I would definitely go back for another tart, it was just that good. If you're willing to overlook the seating, this place is a must-visit for anyone who loves a good pastry!

Newish bakery that opened in Darlinghurst. Super good pastry and very unique combinations makes this a joy to visit. The staff were friendly and efficient in preparing our takeaway order. Would highly recommend for all pastry lovers wanting something different. We had the black garlic crown croissant and miso Portuguese egg tart. Given 4 stars just as it’s little pricey if you want to try a few pastries.

And I thought croissants can't get any more interesting and creative but Tenacious proved me wrong. Fantastic and delicious flavours! Their take on the traditional Portuguese Tart was a different level with the addition of miso glaze. Very nice!

Edited:- 5 stars for the corn, injeolmi and black garlic pastries. Flavour bombs and absolutely DELICIOUS.- Sweet potato pistachio was banging, banana tiramisu was ok, chestnut latte was the best thing everBeautiful pastries that are a spectacular feast for the eyes! We tried the famous Portuguese egg tart as well as the strawberry tart and almond and marmalade swirl. The pastries are very crispy and freshly baked in the morning - the egg tart was still warm. They were quite pricey as three pastries cost 34 dollars but I reckon it’s still worth to give them a try. They have a few unique flavours so I’ll have to revisit to try the other pastries!

Hands down the best pastries in Sydney! Pastries are so flaky with a perfect amount of sweetness. Portugese tart is a must try! The injeolmi pastry was also really nice with mochi inside. Drinks are always so refreshing and delicious!Customer service is always so kind, they even gave us free coffee

There’s no need to cross the Bridge for Rollers Bakehouse’s loaded croissants anymore. Tenacious Bakehouse have levelled up the genre with even more artful toppings and tastier fillings, right in the heart of Darlinghurst. The narrow shopfront is mostly taken up with a glass counter displaying orderly rows of the day’s pastry selection. Behind it sit a small number of tables for those who’d like to grab a coffee and eat in.To my palate this spot excels in savoury products over sweet ones, with the possible exception of the grape tart ($12). It’s one of the most beautiful pastries I have seen, with cheesy custard filling bejewelled with bisected green grapes over perfectly laminated golden pastry. Think of it as a cheeseboard alternative for your next dinner party. It eclipsed the plum tart ($12) with pineapple, plum jam and coconut, and the twice-baked Portuguese tart ($12) made here with a miso glaze, quite savoury egg custard and stiff, burnt (and therefore too bitter) pastry. The star of the savoury range was the beautifully decorated corn cheese ($10) with grilled juicy corn, crisp corn flakes, almond cream and corn cheese mayonnaise. The takoyaki croissant ($12) takes on the Japanese octopus ball with an interior of tender octopus salad and a flaky fried bonito topping glued on with takoyaki sauce and mayonnaise. Despite their petite size, savoury items—including the peperochini ($10)—are dense and filling. Studded with pepperoni, this croissant is bedecked with bolognaise sauce, a drizzle of ‘nduja oil and roasted rosemary. Yeongjin Park (ex-Lode) packs technique and flavour into every item, including some inspired by his Korean heritage, like pork mandu ($10). This fusion sausage roll teams lean pork and garlic chive dumplings with seed-topped flaky pastry to very good effect. Embrace the multicult by teaming it with your favourite chilli sauce.

All their pastries looked so delicious and I had hard time choosing which to buy as I went there by myself. Bought their Portuguese tart as it’s shown on their banner.Their tart didn’t disappoint and but it’s not mind blowing either. It’s got the flaky and crunchy texture that I love and the custard filling’s pretty good though one’s get sick of too much sweetness by having the whole tart by themselves.Wanted to dine in but it’s full inside. However the staff were kind enough to let me use their sink to wash my hands after I finished my tart outside. Would love to come back to try other pastries!

This Miso Portuguese Tart was the only thing that I knew I wanted before I went to @tenacious.croissantTenacious Bakehouse’s Portuguese Tart has a super-crispy multi-layered pastry, The egg custard filling was soft, smooth and delicious. Love the miso Carmel Defiantly more on the Asian flavours which I love. 6/10Edit, I came in last week and I’ve tried almost everything on there menu and it’s solid a 10 out of 10. There are unique flavour from sweet potato to pistachio filling. It was just mine blowing the black garlic. It’s very unique. It’s a sweet not savoury pastry. They also have a lot of variety of different flavoured savoury croissant’sThe coffee was amazing. I got the chestnut latte which was inspired from Japanese culture and it was delicious it tasted just like when I was in Japan. I love the chestnut flavour in coffee. It’s just amazing and it’s perfect winter’s vibe. another Asian owned bakery that is offering better pastries than French bakeries in Sydney. Tenacious does not disappoint
