Huge place with an absolute massive amount of instruments and parts. You can get nearly anything there. Repairs are sorted for you as well and new and used parts and instruments. Wall to wall of beautifully created musical fun to be had.

The service could be better. I liked their antique and fabulous shop and I was so excited to buy my niece's very first violin. One of their staff, Sarah? who was a kinda trainee, helped me. She was pretty friendly but didn't know much about what she was doing. like, she got us a wrong size violin and didn't know where the violin we wanted was. But I was kinda happy with her service, cos she was friendly and at least she tried to answer our questions. The problem was the Korean lady, maybe the owner of this shop? She was like, looking for a cheapie?"

Bought a a 2nd hand cello for my daughter in December which recently needed some minor repairs. I was blown away by the outstanding serviceI can't thank Dietrich enough for driving out to do a five min repair on her cello. Free of charge! We have purchased two violas for my daughter from Animato and we will never go anywhere else. The professionalism of the staff is beyond expectations. So the school decided to ambush me a week ago after selling the idea of a cello to my grade 5 daughter. First time experience, I had to learn quick, and the more I picked up, the more I was steered towards all the usual brands and related stores that had very little in stock. So I walked into animato, disillusioned about the entire process, and walked a believer. These guys were so helpful, obliging, demonstrated all their options, advised all the little items that I wasn't aware of, and left me confident for my purchase. Time will tell, however, so far, so good.

My daughter has been learning viola since she was seven. As she has grown, she has progressed through four quality violas from Animato. At each visit we have been helped to choose an instrument that is the right fit and has a beautiful sound. We have also entrusted Animato with the repair of a treasured family violin, which can now be used to make music again! Walking into the shop fills me with a sense of awe - there is something a bit magic about Animato.
