My daughter has been taking piano lessons at Pathways Music School for many years & I can’t recommend them more! The whole environment is very nurturing, her teacher is amazing & my daughter loves attending her weekly session, their service is second to none.

I started learning singing at Pathways Music School in July 2021. I had previously studied classical singing, but had a long break from singing. Because of this, I had lost some of my range, and general vocal flexibility. I loved how they matched me up with a teacher, then provided a trial lesson to see if the match was correct. This made the process more personal. Having been part of the School now for almost 2 years, and having been a cast member of Viva, which produced a show in the recent Adelaide Fringe, I can honestly say that this place is amazing. The owner, Dan, has a philosophy to bring music education to everyone, or at least whoever wants it. The growth in the school, from what I've heard, reflects the practical outworking of this philosophy. The teachers are all very talented and know how to teach. They are also passionate about their craft and many of them are active performers. As a seasoned musician, I can recommend this School and the associated Viva Performing Arts, as a place to grow but also a place where you will have opportunities to perform if that's what you want. Here's a bonus, its in the suburbs, so its accessible, no crazy car parking problems, and there's an awesome coffee shop next door, or you can chew of a pizza or get your nails done, all in the same shopping complex in Flagstaff Hill. I came to Dan two years ago with no prior musical knowledge whatsoever, only with the desire to play the piano. Fast forward to 2016 and I have performed in my first piano concert at the end of 2015 and I am about to start learning the beautiful Nocturne Op. 9, No. 2 by Chopin. This is all thanks to the skilled teaching and guidance of Dan.During my piano journey to date, I have had the desire to target a number of musical skills such as sight reading, playing piano by ear, playing pop songs and classical pieces, music theory and more. Dan has worked with me to set realistic and achievable goals to help advance my skills in each of these areas.Dan is quite simply a brilliant, friendly and talented teacher who creates a relaxed and supportive learning experience. I look forward to my lesson each week and always leave with new musical knowledge. The quality of teaching and facilities is excellent, and the environment is conducive to learning. Additionally, the school regularly organizes concerts for the children, providing them with opportunities to showcase their abilities and progress to their parents and the wider community.

My daughter has learn so much from Dan over the last 2 and a half years , she has a wonderful understanding and appreciation for the classics and looks forward to her lessons every week . I can not recommend Pathways highly enough if you have someone in your family wanting to learn piano .

When I first started piano lessons with Dan I was barely at Grade 3 level and within a year he had me preparing for Grade 6 exams.He is amazing musically and professionally and also on a personal level.He is so patient and encouraging and I can never wait for my lesson. They are so much fun.If you wanna go leaps and bounds with your music, Pathways Music is the place to go!!!

Dan has created such a supportive and encouraging environment at pathways. No matter what age or skill level, he teaches in a way that allows you to achieve goals and gain confidence as a pianist with out any pressure or stress. The atmosphere he creates encourages you to play at your best purely because he gives you the confidence and skills to know you can. In the 18 months that I have been taking lessons with Dan I have learnt more musically than in my previous 7 years of lessons and I have gained more confidence not only in my piano playing but in myself.

We have been going to Pathways for about a year now and my daughter has been learning the Piano with Dan. She has learnt a lot since starting and is now about a grade 4 within this time, with some Grade 5 pieces being tested out. She enjoys the lessons very much and is always happy to attend, which to me is a good sign of a welcoming and trusting environment.The concerts are a great way to get the students to study and practice a little more and to also give the Students confidence in a relaxed and friendly environment.I would recommend the Pathways Music School.
