Faculty were knowledgeable and experienced, the facilities look shabby and needs to be well maintained. The fees have been increased in recent times and the courses are becoming unaffordable.

Facility is beautiful, And from what I have seen I cannot fault it, however paid $10 to put my son on the wait list when he was 5 months old and 2.5 years later removed him from the list as apart from an annual call confirming I wanted to stay On the list no other offer or communication was made. It is only $10 but be realistic with people and don’t charge money to be on a pointless wait list

My review of VU is based on my experience over the previous 12 months.Timeframe of competence.- 10 months to get my enrolment correct.- Several months for the IT department to allow me access to the VU Collaborate portal.Main issues to note.- Halfway into the year VU deleted all course work off of their system. Gone. (If you choose to go here, keep digital and hardcopies of everything to mitigate the risk of IT failure).- Classrooms double booked.- No classrooms booked (Lucky it was a nice day because we ended up outside).- No allocated lecturers for several months.- Online e-learning activities both incredibly outdated and/or links in course material no longer worked.- Conflicting education standards among lecturers.- Lecturers were mostly sessional/casual employees.- Management will not help you, unless – You have impeccable correspondence records from every interaction with them to categorically prove you are right. This is based on the assumption that they actually even care.- Even the ticket inspectors can’t seem to put the fines on the correct vehicles. It’s really not that difficult to read a number plate…- Don’t waste your time calling reception, they are a seperate legal entity and due to privacy and confidentiality they can’t do anything about… anything.Good points.- The native bird life is nice.- It has running water.- One lecturer was very well educated and was a complete gentlemen. Hats off to you sir.ConclusionThis may come across as a disgruntled review and from your perspective it appears that way. Please let me assure you that the standard of education, management and customer service demonstrated by this organisation is so far outside the scope of what society should accept that it almost calls for an external review by the Australian Skills Quality Authority. The most concerning part of this entire experience is it appear to be acceptable. As consumers we have expectations that individuals/representatives of an organisation will be bad at their jobs and are excited when we deal with someone who possesses a cognitive function suitable for the 21st century. This is my experience and my review alone.

DON’T DO IT!!!!Would highly NOT recommend. When struggling financially during COVID and asking to make payments on my course, it was refused.I never not wanted to pay the fees, I just could not afford the lump sum anymore. They’ve now sent it to a debt collection agency and affected my credit score. But at least I can now make payments.I’m looking into further action. Also, the course itself was so drawn out it was ridiculous.A course that can be done in 10 business days being stretched to 6 months was torture. These people are having a laugh...straight to the bank.GO ELSEWHERE!

Sonia Jammal helped me a lot with getting ready to enter my course (accounting and bookkeeping cert. IV), they were lovely and kind. I was also lucky enough to have Kathryn Stirling for a teacher this term here, they care deeply and want to help you and make sure you succeed and enjoy your course. One of the best teachers I've ever had.VU HQ staff are really nice too, and the man at the canteen in block A is also so nice and friendly. The campus is really nice and I would recommend anyone who is considering to study here, to do it.
