TLDR; definitely recommend. Better to come in with a few others during lunch so you can have a bit of everything. Or come for dinner and have everything. Try the lamb pide and the brisket. Cocktail was good.I was recommended to come here by a colleague and was not disappointed. We visited during lunch and ordered from the A La Carte menu ( must come back to try the Israeli Signature Set menu). Service was polite and lovely, didn't wait too long even though there was a fair number of people being served by the one waitress. The decor was quite cool as well with touches of the Middle East dotted around. The food was so flavorful and cooked really well; I have never tried really good Middle Eastern food before and could not compare to my previous experiences. We had the Lamb Pide, the Smoked Brisket and the Chicken Shish Kebabs; also in order of preference. The chicken I thought could have been a bit better in terms of flavour and portion - 2 skewers on rice for $24.90 is a bit much if you were only wanting one dish. However, I cannot fault the other two dishes; they had amazing flavours and were balanced well with appropriate seasoning and sauces. The Figling cocktail was also really yummy, a bit basic looking and small for $15 but don't regret trying it because it was really refreshing and a light cocktail to have with a big lunch.

When we entered I thought I was in restaurant heaven, you could clearly see the money spent on the look of the room, it looked amazing. We then sat at our table and once again I thought I had found the restaurant of my dreams, beautiful table and wonderfully comfortable chairs, but then the big disappointment and why people go to restaurants, the food.We didn't like the fact that it was a set menu and gave us no choice to choose what we wanted to eat, we also found the food to salty and couldn't eat most of the entrees and sent them back. The mains which were a selection of hot meats in a pot ended up like a mixture of mash and there was no separation of taste, we couldn't eat it and sent it back.We would have preferred the lunch menu for dinner. We were asked a number of times how was the food and we told them, horrible but nothing was done to change things, when I paid the bill I was again asked about the food and to us it was not up to scratch a real shame. When we go to Sultans Turkish Restaurant the food is tasty and you can choose from a menu what you want to eat, it's a shame that more thought hasn't been put into the food choices as the restaurant is beautiful. We really wanted to like Pilpel restaurant.

Amazing Israeli banquet dinner. So much food but impossible to stop grazing! Every dish better than the last. The only thing better than the food though, was the service. Our wait staff were cheery & introduced every single dish as it was served. My only criticism was that there wasn't much atmosphere. The venue itself is beautiful and you could spend ages just admiring the ornate Israeli hanging lights. But it could really use some upbeat Israeli music at a decent volume.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Celebrated a 70th birthday with family and it was great! Pilpel catered for the little ones who tucked into pizza, nuggets and chips and calamari and chips while the rest of us enjoyed beautifully and generously presented platters and sides. There was also a.play centre upstairs to help keep the kids occupied. Staff were all super friendly and accommodating.

I don't know how I've never been here. Stepping into Pilpel reminds me of stepping into a Croatian beach club. The place is huge. The music is pumping. The service is incredible (thank you for your hospitality). The bar is fully stocked, the food is delicious and abundant, and you don't want to leave. We had the recommended share platter and thoroughly enjoyed all of it - the beef brisket, couscous and hummus were my favourites. It's a wonderfully inviting place for the whole family. I can't wait to go back again.

What an experience! So much food! Each plate as or more delicious than the last. The staff are so genuine and friendly, and really seem to want you have a positive experience. There are takeaway containers, so save room for the dessert and tea. Can't wait to come back!

We had the full signature menu and I was so grateful that as a gluten and dairy free person I could eat almost all of the dishes! I was worried I wouldn't get the most of my money because there would be limited options. There were only three or four of the 15 entrees that had gluten or dairy and the mains were gluten and dairy free. I also really loved their gluten free bread! There wasn't anything I tried that I didn't like and I normally don't like eggplant. The mains were delicious and to my surprise I think I liked the squid best. The dairy free lime sorbet was great but the dairy rose flavoured ice cream and churros weren't a big hit. The churros did not seem fresh like they had been sitting out a while. Overall I had a great experience and although I ate heaps I'm glad most of it was vegetables!

Always impressive, friendly staff and excellent service. The food is cooked to perfection.. Only fault is dessert should be served after main meal not before.. But it was all delicious!
