Gumnut Gardens
Our son has been at Gumnut Gardens since January this year (2017) and I cannot say enough good things about the centre. The staff are all so warm and nurture the children's developmental milestones, making them feel safe, secure and confident. Meals are all healthy and gourmet, cooked by the wonderful chef, Sandra. We had the choice of going to a centre closer to home, but I'm so glad we decided on Gumnut Gardens. Having Flynn so well taken care of has given my husband and I total peace of mind while we're at work.

We were so happy with our kids' time (end 2016-early 2017) at Gumnut Gardens, that it made it the one factor that nearly prevented us from moving out of the area. With one child in the pre-school group, and our youngest in the nursery, we got to know both sets of educators very well, and it was with real sadness that we had to bid them all farewell when we moved. Our daughters were so comfortable being at Gumnut, and our eldest spoke so fondly of her educators when at home, and even for quite some time after we left. They provided regular and personalised updates on their website and via email with photos and summaries of daily activities, which is great in being able to keep a part of what your kids are up to, as well as having some good input for discussion about how the day was.The staff are genuinely caring and loving to all the children there. They never neglected to say hello to the parents and children each morning and afternoon - a telltale sign that they are people who care. Our girls would come home from daycare with positive energy from a day spent learning and growing. We appreciated the diversity of style of learning which they experienced - so many creative experiences, as well as exposure to cultural and human aspects of life, and of course so much exposure to nature either in the centre's backyard, or on the regular trips to Centennial Park.Highly recommended.

Paddington's secret gem! We've had amazing childcare places in San Francisco and Melbourne, but Gumnut was how I imagine 'forest kinder' to be in Sweden etc. There's nothing else in the area - maybe even Sydney! - offering this kind of extended learning program, where the kids go on enriching cultural excursions and spend time in the 'forest'. The kids spend two days each week in Centennial Park exploring the natural world. They wear special outdoor coveralls and learn to explore. It makes them peaceful, confident and curious. They also go on excursions to museums and art galleries. The staff are very caring and nurturing, but sophisticated in their childhood development goals and language. Lovely, nutritious food prepared by their own on-site cook, and lots of thought put into each day's activities, toys and games. I can't recommend Gumnut highly enough, I'm writing this review because I would have had no idea it was there except for the advice of a neighbour.

Our little 18-month-old loves GG. She has been there since she was 7 months old and absolutely adores the people there. Alix, Taz, Helen, Caroline and Rachel (and all the staff in the babies room) could not be more caring. We love the philosophy at Gumnut Gardens and love the idea of bush kindy" when our little girl is a bit older. We feel really lucky to have our little one there."

Gumnut Gardens is so wonderful. The teachers (which always make these places) are truly exceptional. Our little boy has such a good time in the treehouse out the back, exploring centennial park every week, learning about nature, eating great food, but most of all playing in a million different ways. I really couldn't recommend it more. And don't let the busy road fool you - it's quite the oasis out the back!

The carers at Gumnut are truly an extension of your family. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants a small centre with an in-house chef and good challenging activities for the various stages of your baby/toddler.

An incredible learning experience for my pre school aged child. Kind, warm, fun environment that focusses on creative play and action as the learning tool. The 'centre' has the feeling of a home and the staff and centre director Jenny are Gumnuts greatest assets. Bush Kindy in Centennial Park 2 days a week is a hugely added bonus. WOW, I want to attend! Highly recommend

What a beautiful centre! My daughter thrived at Gumnut Gardens from the very first day. They have created the perfect inclusive learning environment for all children. Their philosophy embraces learning through play, caring for the environment and each other, they encourage independence and support all the children in their own individual interests . They also have a fabulous Bush Kindy program. The educators are attentive, warm and loving. The energy inside and out is always uplifting. I am very grateful we found Gumnut Gardens.
