YHA Grampians Eco

We had an amazing time in Halls Gap, we’d never been before and the manager Bernhard gave us excellent tips on the places to visit that would be great for the whole family, as we had our two kids with us. The hostel is perfect for a family as the kitchen facilities have everything you need to prepare your lunch and snacks for the day of adventure and then return and cook your evening meal. Beds are so comfortable and the bathrooms are always clean and well presented. Bernhard and Tara run an excellent YHA. Highly recommended.

The hostel is so beautiful! Really clean, nice showers. We stayed in a room for 3 and it was nice. Also the common areas are lovely

Amazing team who are so flexible and considerate with hikers. They went out of their way to provide us with access to towels and warm showers before the office opened to support our End to End hike. Couldn't recommend highly enough, would give 6 stars if I could!

Nice hostel with all the facilities you could need. Decent kitchen, bathrooms and dorms plus the host was really welcoming.Was a little cold though - both in the dining area and the lounge room.

Best YHA we've stayed at, the kitchen is huge and well equipped, there are 2 super nice lounges to chill, the bathrooms are nice and clean, beds are comfy and the owners are super nice. It's also a very conveniently located to just start hiking directly without needing a car. Also, there are some cute emus and kangaroos roaming around in the late afternoon.

I'm sorry because the guy from the reception was very nice. But I think when we didn't enjoy it needs be known as well.Nothing again the owners but just about what they propose, which is for me very disappointing.I rent a room for more than 106$ and:A cheap, basic, scrappy bed, nothing really welcoming in the room instead of a strong feet smelling.At least they can put a boiler and tea to make it more comfy as in every room you can have for more than 100$Shared bathroom and toilets which is ok for me but only one toilet work the other one is out of order, tap's handle comes off when you turn on the waterEven if you don't have to, or must to, you can help them for removing you bed sheets and put it in the basket before check out.Which I did with pleasure to help and make it easier for cleaners with respect but I think at this price you're expecting this service, and employees don't have to ask or suggest to client for doing it.If it misses some people for cleaning rooms or whatever the organisation that is not the client problem.I can understand it's a little hotel, not so much rooms and big season but why rooms some place else would be more welcoming at the same price.We can be eco friendly without being negligeantThe kitchen and the lounge were really nice.

This was our second time visiting YHA - Halls Gap, we absolutely love it there and it always feels like home to us! It’s super clean and the location is excellent! Thank you JB for being such a great host. We miss being there already!

BJ always super helpful, he let us use the kitchen and installation even before we check in and with the reception being closed. Rooms, kitchen, and toilets super clean. If you go on low season, you may be in luck and have some fresh eggs from his lovely free range hens that they have in the backyard, as well a small herb crop which guest can freely use.

Wonderful little hostel in the heart of the grampains, just close enough to everything while not being too close to town so still very peaceful.Be sure to ask BJ for hiking recommendations, he didn't let me down once!Was a great stay can't recommend enough :)

I spent a week staying here! Beautiful hostel with great facilities, BJ and Tara are super friendly and help to make a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere.Comfortable beds, clean and well-equipped kitchen, barbecues, super cozy fireplace and more. Definitely recommend.Thanks again, Daniel
