Japanese inn

We just arrived home from our third time back to the Sea Zen and and we're already talking about going back again. Such a nice place to escape to. The spa is amazing as is the rest of the studio, very comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. We've definitely found our happy place.

Loved our short stay at Sea Zen. Clean, peaceful and great location. Our puppy adored being so close to the beach. Satellite TV and good wifi are an added bonus. Highly recommended for couples with a pooch.

My husband and I and our dog stayed at Sea Zen for 5 nights over the new year period. The apartment is first rate in terms of furnishings and fittings (i.e. nice spacious bathroom, nice cupboards and closets, coffee machine, comfy bed, recent magazines and good selection of books), and especially the ocean views. As soon as we walked in I immediately felt relaxed. Everything in and about the apartment is well thought-through and explained, which adds to the relaxing atmosphere. We really appreciated that Sea Zen is truly pet friendly: there is a sheet to allow dogs to sit on the couch (our doggy isn’t allowed to do this at home and totally loved it at Sea Zen!), food and water bowls, poo bags and helpful instructions about where dogs can go in the surrounding area. The setting and Wye River/Separation Creek with spectacular ocean views is very beautiful. Finally, Rex was excellent to deal with and a very helpful communicator. All that’s left to say is we would love to return someday.

A beautiful place to stay, the views are stunning and we were allowed to experience it all with our fur baby who just had so much fun.When we arrived, we were welcomed with a bottle of champagne and a card which is a very nice touch. Rex also introduced himself to my husband and informed him that he was close by in case we needed him. Overall, a very nice and definitely zen place to stay in and the spa and steam showers are great. Thanks again.

Sea views from the cosy warmth near the fire, or the privacy conscious luxurious balcony spa. This little gem was just wonderful for a romantic getaway. We loved the Japanese styling, and found SeaZen to be an aptly named getaway experience.We'll be back for sure!

Stunning views, beautiful facilities. Half hour from Lorne and half hour from Apollo Bay. Aromas of the rainforest, wonderful wildlife. Sea Zen has everything you could wish for and exceptional customer service. The spa bath on the edge of the apartment with windows to the ocean was a standout. The fact you can come as a single person or couple with your dog to five star luxury was a real treat. Thankyou Rex

A wonderful space and location. There are numerous thoughtful touches throughout that make your stay special; essential oils for the steam shower, bath salts for the spa, and phone chargers for multiple devices. Our dog loves it too, especially since it’s only steps from a dog friendly beach. We will be back again.

Sea Zen is a magical place to relax and unwind with the soothing sounds of waves, refreshing ocean breeze, friendly King Parrots and a view to die for. The accommodation is presented beautifully with a fantastic Japanese twist. There's a super comfy king bed, fully equipped kitchen, huge shower that doubles as a steam room and a two person spa with great views (if you choose to open the frosted windows). Me and my wife spent a blissful weekend here in November and will definitely be coming back for more! Thanks for sharing Rex!

Sea Zen is an absolutely beautiful villa - it has everything you need for a relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.We thoroughly enjoyed the large shower/steam room. And we loved to soak in the specious spa.Sea Zen has a beautiful view of the ocean and has a very short walk over the Great Ocean Road to put your feet in the sand.We would highly recommend to stay here and enjoy the Japanese serenity that the hosts have created.
