I booked a container of goods that was ready to be imported into Australia in September 2021. The container arrived December 2021 as it failed a tailgate inspection. My goods had to be unpacked and delivered on a flatbed trailer. I confirmed with the imports operations manager at Ical that invoices for their complete services had been finalised in January 2022, to which they assured there were no final payments to be made. On 4 February I then received another invoice for cleaning, inspection and re-delivery. The significant time delay meant I could not pass the invoice for to the company who packed my container, and hence I am left with the bill. I raised my concerns around this time delay, and the obvious miscommunication regarding what I believed to be the final invoice in January 2022. I am disappointed to be told there is nothing Ical can do.
