Lovely atmosphere, staff friendly and helpful. Beer seems flat naybe lines not cleaned enough, no spark in the beer. Meal were reasonable but not flash. Had venison and it had no taste to the whole dish. Other meals were standard meals and passable.

Walked in on a super busy Sunday with no booking, was happily taken care of by staff. Food was delicious and came out super fast. Definitely worth the trip!! Great atmosphere too

Have had a great time there last year. Thought we would pop in for lunch. Ordered some oysters kilpatrick and a pizza , to come out at the same time. Long wait for the meal .. after 55 minutes the pizza arrived … I told my partner to start as I was waiting on the oysters. He got 3/4 of the way through his meal and the oysters arrived … they were burnt to a crisp… I told the lady to take them back as they were burnt .. she insisted that I eat them to prove that they were burnt. I explained that I did not like the taste of charcoal and that I was not going to test them, but the fact that they were black was significant and that they were burn. After a bit of a stand off, my partner finally said he would taste them & proceeded to put a piece of charcoal bacon in his mouth … only to spit it out & say it was very burnt. I told the waiter to not worry about it & I would get a refund… she refused & insisted that I would be provided with another 1/2 dozen oysters. By the time they came out, another 10 minutes later, my partner had finished his meal. The very, very expensive oysters were not very nice. The oysters themselves were huge and fresh and delicious, but covered with a very thick sludge of a huge amount of sauce and a small amount of very thinly slicked bacon … not nice. Very poor experience overall.

Great place to sink a few beers on a sunny afternoon. Nice menu and it tastes just as good as it looks which is nice!Prices very reasonable considering that it's a pretty high-end joint.Only complaint is the acoustic guitar at 100db while we are trying to have a chat. Make it stop.

A little too noisy, for good conversations.There needs to be separate partitioning for those eating, enjoying a catch-up, or a drink. A real wood fire, would be more appealing

Great atmosphere but the food was lackluster and not well cooked. Had three steaks on the table ordered as medium rare and medium. All steaks came out as well done.

Bought 4 meals. 3 were really nice. My Steak was cooked correctly but was tough as an old shoe. Bad piece of meat. Would go back again but wouldn't order a steak.

I’ve been here many times and I come back for the beautiful location, decor and the food has mostly been great but I’m disappointed in the continual lack of service. Without fail, every single time I’ve been here the service has been absolutely terrible and I don’t say that lightly as I very rarely leave bad reviews. It always takes a long time to not only be served but even acknowledged at any of the counters. Multiple staff are often milling around chatting amongst each other, ignoring patrons and when you finally are served, it’s often with an attitude like you’ve just interrupted their day. This place has so much potential. As I said, the decor is absolutely gorgeous - I love that there are so many different rooms and spaces. The live entertainment is usually always excellent, with exception to a couple of DJ’s that sometimes start a bit early during dinner service and it’s in a really beautiful part of the Adelaide Hills with decent parking and easy access to public transport. Overall, the food has mostly been really nice and not huge waits, even during busy periods but unfortunately the service really does the entire place a disservice.

Well done Monday afternoon Stirls crew. The 2 boys that serve myself and my son are really warm, friendly and remember their local customers. Great to see young people bringing back what hospitality is all about.
