Polite and friendly. Happy to explain and discuss options. My job was small, so wouldn’t have taken long, but there was labour, of course. They only charged me for parts.

Cold, rude and negligent customer service. Whilst i could see from my own observations they were clearly busy, at no point was any effort made to give a time frame or enquire as to when i might need the job completed by. Had to chase down a simple recharge and check of a battery with multiple phone calls, being told we'll call you back". Upon calling again it was clear they had not done anything and still had no information for

Booked car, with full details, and had confirmation they could do the job, only to drive from out of town and receiving a call two hours later saying that they can't do it. Person at the reception clearly doesn't want to be there and probably shouldn't.

Great service. I had an issue with the fan belt and they were able to replace it that day at short notice. Appreciated.

These guys really know their stuff. The premises look like your typical old school garage mechanics and parking is a problem, but they have a good system, competent people and do a good job. Pricing is reasonable too.

I originally gave this company a 5 star review from a december breakdown, however after losing my car to another breakdown this week and being provided the broken parts it is shown that the part that I told them required replacing was not replaced at all. I saw the damaged part as the NRMA technician showed me the part that was fried and that same part was handed back to me today upon pick up at another mechanic that my car was towed to out of town and the same fried electrical damage can be seen which in turn fried the much more expensive Coil Pack base plate that was put on brand new in October last year.... this cos me another 5 days off work unable to work due to my work requiring my car and the cost of more repairs and new parts being put in on parts that were only 4 months old... not happy at all would not recommend to anyone and will not return.

They went out of their way to offer quick service when we broke down and were towed to them.While very efficient the front of house lady was very abrupt in her manner she apparently has set ways but we as customers didn't know that so it was off putting to be told don't do this don't do that.The workshop Manager Tony was excellent on his abilities to get the job done at a respectable price.The premises lack appeal and parking having changed little over the past 30-40+yrs?The staff are well managed by Tony but can't keep up with him. He runs they stroll between jobs.

Tony, the manager, always goes above and beyond.The team is knowledgeable, efficient, and trustworthy, making the entire experience stress-free. They operate with high integrity and always take the time to explain the work that needs to be done and answer any questions I have. I've never had a bad experience at Thompson's, and I trust them completely with my vehicles. I highly recommend them to everyone.

Fast efficient service. Tony is always happy to help when a resident wasp blocks my cars air conditioning. Very fairly priced.
