While i haven't had a very good experience overall with the first few people i got with APM, Avery Holderness-Roddam Is a hard working legend who helped me a lot. He is one of the gems you find who literally does everything in his power to find something that works for you in the workforce and provides useful and helpful training and support for those who need that extra bit of help. Great bloke to the max, 11/10 would recommend him as a job support provider.

Their NBN internet connection is unreliable. The social worker who did the Work Care appointments was at times: bossy, insensitive, ignorant and can't relate to her clients situations. She chewed gum to address her irritation and sometimes repeated herself. She has double standards. It's alright for her husband to have facial hair and not drink alcohol, but not for a client to conicidentally do likewise.I don't think APM has the resources to provide proper support.Centrelink's and the Federal Department of Human Services Complaints department advised me to contact the APM Site or Area Manager to report any problems and delays. There is also a regular turnover of staff who resign.Enquire with the other Job Active providers to compare. Their functions are much the same. It's like choosing a bank. Clients can lodge a Freedom of Information request to access or change documents collected, used and kept by a Job Active provider and/or Centrelink.Staff get commissions for reaching certain performance indicators. Some staff in that field of work can be pushy, bossy and/or agitated. If you feel unhappy with APM and wish to make a complaint, have a look on their website for their contact details. If APM fail to resolve your matter, contact the Employment Services National Customer Service Line.

Very rude staff called Paul. An Extremely disrespectful being. Paul purposefully ignores you while on appointment and then pretends to have forgotten that you are sitting there. He clearly got some big personal issues. I advise every job seeker not to choose this company who is earning so much $$$$$$ from us precious customers. If us customers not choose them" they'll end up as job seekers too. Paul is located in Murray st Hobart office."

Their ability to follow up on messages and client requests (even when they claim to be doing it as you're talking to them on the phone) is as equally useless as their ability to find you employment. I've found more work and job applications on facebook and recommendations by friends. What do they do in that office if they're not following up on their clients?

Friendly staff will go out of their way to help in any way they can, often going above and beyond what the requirements are to make sure you have the best chance at progression in the future. Personally I have been through a few JSP's and have never had an experience as good as this one, I never thought I would find a provider that actually makes me excited to come into the office but these guys have managed it with a near constant flow of opportunities and support.Bravo.

Extremely disappointing. I choose APM because I have struggled with depression for 6 years. When my first appointment came around they were very dismissive of my depression and did not approach the subject with a single ounce of empathy or care. After my first appointment I hardly heard from them and for some reason was given phone call appointments. Which I find to be non-personal and fake.I can honestly say they have not done a single thing for me, and any request is met with hesitation and excuses. The person who I have been palmed-off to is Sharon. On the phone she seemed to be nice, but in person she is eerily fake and passive aggressive. She doesn't act like she is committed to helping people in the slightest. When I missed a phone call appointment and had to come in she acted like seeing me was an inconvenience. And when I informed her that I was about to begin study she was insisting I go to Centrelink and become a student, so I can 'exit the system'. This really made me feel like a nuisance.APM is being payed by the government to help me find a job, I find it utterly disgusting that an employee is openly looking forward to a client exiting the system without finding a job. And actively encouraging them to do so.Don't even think about coming to APM, I made the mistake of falling for their targeted facebook ads instead of reading real reviews. Now I have to start the process of changing job agencies.

I found APM Hobart such a bad service for mental health barriers. I found them extremely dismissive and ill equip to deal with anxiety issues. They did not listen to my job preferences and pushed me into applying for retail chain store positions, which I did not feel comfortable with. I was given phone appointment times, but my service provider would not call at the agreed time or day. They would then call out of the blue non stop (I tried to communicate that this made me really anxious). As a service they were not flexible or tolerant. Cut my payment off after a week, even though they had not called at my appointment times, when I had prepared for the appointment.

Friendly staff but work ethics are poor, never on time for phone appointments most times you need to ring them, you get there early and still you appointment late. Just useless.

I was initially with Louise, who did almost nothing except for signing the agreement of search for 10 jobs per fortnight. Then I was notified by them a telephone appointment at 11.30. she was not in the office, nor have I received a call at 11.30. Then I saw her sitting at her desk, when I was about to approach her, the guy with glasses at the front desk stopped me, asking me to make a phone call to talk to her, although I’m just in her office. After I had called at 11.41, I was told by another lady that they had changed my consultant to a new staff under training, suddenly and unilaterally. The new consultant is not at the office yet, I don’t need to wait at the office. So I left. And still haven’t received their phone call after days. They were arrogant, cold blooded, and not honouring appointment. They should definitely not be chosen as a service provider.

Because she had read all these horror reviews I accompanied a young woman here, for moral support, who had an appointment and feared the worst. I kept an eye out for the arrogant, disrespectful staff, written about in the reviews but instead I witnessed a cheerful understanding bunch of friendly staff eager to put her at ease. So let the record be set straight. This is a fine place to go when you are asked to by Centrelink. Relax, they really want to help and understand the stressful time you may be having. Clean, bright and spacious with homely flower pots and bags of lollies here and there. It felt like we were visiting a friend who happened to work in an office, not a grim, uncaring government department. Go in confidence and get that job and that life you want. They will help you with a smile. Say hello to Sean too. Very nice boy.
