I was all alone in my decision to apply for a divorce. Frightened, nervous and no one to turn to. Didn’t know how or who to turn to for help. Which lawyer? Which law firm? No idea. Detailed questions were asked from every angle, some quite awkward but had to be answered. I had no idea how transparent I had to be. Don’t be fooled by her pretty looks - she is one brilliant and no nonsense type of person. When she advises, take it. When she talks, listen! When you talk, she listens and you never have to repeat yourself.The Ongoing: Carol El-Zakhem was whom I had most of my interactions with throughout my case. She practically reads my mind and comes up with answers, suggestions and reassurances before I can voice them. Carol understands me like the back of her hand. When there was something to be looked into, she gets back to me almost immediately putting my nerves at ease. I can see she is thorough in her calculations and observations.The Ending: It has been a nine month journey (including my asking for a long Christmas break) and Letters of Consent have now been signed by both parties.
