Had on Christmas eve, absolutely terrible. Order was stuffed up, fried rice was dry and beef dishes - meat was tough and under cooked and sauces were like water. Shame as this place used to be so good and usually they'd throw in prawn crackers....not this time.

Food is great. Service is prompt. Had the quail as an added extra, but these have to be ordered prior. Also had the normal fried beef, pork, prawn scallop & chicken dishes

Horrible food. Watered down honey chicken sauce … the honey chicken tasted like a steak. Just gross… like seriously, what are you thinking? Luckily there are no laws about serving people inedible food.

Ordered take away the other night and left terribly disappointed. Living only 1km away, the chicken and sweet corn soup was watery and cold, needing to be reheated. Chicken with cashew nuts was terrible. The combination sweet and sour was also very disappointing, minimal ingredients, cold, cauliflower was also mushy, other vegetables were lacking any flavour at all. Special fried rice was like steamed rice with microwaved frozen vegetables, contained a very minimal amount of protein. After paying $90 it was perhaps the worst Chinese meal I have ever eaten. Very disappointing, I have frequented Jan Cheong as long as I can remember, unfortunately it may have been my last time.

Food was nothing to rave about, all dishes I ordered were cooked the same way with same flavours and sauce, the good thing was the super fast service, will I visit again?, maybe if everything else is closed .

The worst chinese ever! Vegetables in Black Bean consisted of a couple of broccoli pieces and the rest was raw onion. Steak in black bean was pretty much the same not much sauce, just wrong. I have never left a bad review before but the food delivered was so unpalatable and the $$$ spent? Don't want others to be highly disappointed. Will never order from here again!

The worst Chinese I ever had. Don't waste the money. Regardless which dishes we had (5 different dishes) in total. None of them taste good, totally tasteless, even the San Choi Bao which just mainly rely on the sauce, still can make it total blank and dry. My main is black pepper steak, the beef isn't good, very tough, vegetables mainly broccoli and cauliflower were so slimy and mushy and tasted disgusting. The worst is there is a hair in the honey chicken, which is obviously not just head hair, is a body hair....... So disgusting

Our family regularly visits Jan Cheong for birthday’s, Fathers & Mother’s Day, and celebrations, because we are very satisfied. The service is excellent, staff are friendly and welcoming.The prices are reasonable and the variety of dishes are what you would expect from a good establishment. We have always found the quality of the dishes consistently high and its fun to try a new dish occasionally.Our family is a large group and Jan Cheong is very accommodating, arranging a large table with plenty of seating. Always a pleasure to be guests here.If you like Chinese food you’re sure to love the “Sizzling steak” or “Honey chicken”. The entree’s are great to start with.There is no problem bringing your own beverages as Jan Cheong is very flexible with your choice of BYO.
