Ruggers Retreat for Dogs

Our Herbie loved his stay and we will be using Bernie's amazing service again. The dogs have so much safe space to run and play and I didn't have to worry at all while we were away. Highly recommend Bernie.

Bernie has looked after our dog on many occasions and does a great job. She cares for all the dogs as if they were her own. The environment is open with lots of room to run and the beach is across the road. Bernie takes them swimming and let’s them run on the beach. Highly recommend

My dog had the best time staying with Bernie and Dave whilst we were away. He made lots of doggie pals and we were so comfortable leaving him there knowing the quality of care and attention he would receive. Heaps of room on 5 secure acres for him to run and play all day, and a nice cozy indoor bed for him to collapse on at the end of every day. We got regular photo updates of the amazing holiday he was having! Bernie at Ruggers retreat was brilliant - very warm and friendly, and our girl absolutely loved staying with her and her other lovely dogs. Professional yet relaxed, and excellent value. We were very impressed with Bernie's flexibility around drop off and pick up times. Our last minute request to change from a day to an overnight was easily accommodated. Fantastic dog sitter, would highly recommend! Thanks again.

Fantastic place to leave your fur baby.We were holidaying on the Eyre Peninsula.Ellie our American Staffy stayed for a day while we went to Coffin Bay National Park and did an oyster tour.She had a great day with plenty of other dogs to play with.Bernie and her husband are wonderful with the dogs and the property is perfect.Would definitely use them again.

Our Rhodesian Ridgeback loves going to visit Bernie and the other dogs at Ruggers Retreat for Dogs. She gets the freedom to explore and play with other dogs, and a run on the beach everyday. She even gets to sleep inside! It’s definitely her favourite holiday destination when she can’t come with us on our holidays! I highly recommend Bernie for dog sitting. She treats all of the dogs as if they were her own, and she is a fabulous dog owner.

Ruggers Retreat is an exceptional place for dogs to visit & stay. Bernie has a gift of connecting with each dog & their individual needs. Along with husband Dave, the dogs are treated to unlimited freedom of the farm, regular daily beach walks & are welcome inside the home to sleep at night.All the while the doggie parents get regular updates along with photos of the doggies adventures & new friends. Every time I get news from Bernie it makes me smile to see how happy my dogs are in my absence.Thank you Bernie for your unique & special care when you look after my Goldies. We all love a weekend/weeks at Bernies!
