Bistro Elba
Interesting French food and definitely of a high standard. We were lucky as we get to enjoy the oysters (some of the best we had in Melbourne) at half price during their special timing. We had a reservation in advance and hence did not have to wait. Do note that this is considered rather pricey. Staff service was ok (some were more polite than the others) but definitely a good place to catch up with friends over food and drinks.

We had a nice post-hike dinner here back in April. Especially loved the freshly shucked oysters (half price from 4-6pm!), beef tartare and heirloom tomato salad special. The rest of the food was a bit hit and miss however, with the mains being generally unimpressive for the price point. The service was great though, and overall our experience was enjoyable.

Had a wonderful dinner at Bistro Elba. The mains were excellent and the whole baby barramundi was an absolute stand out. They have a really good selection of wines. The russet potatoes were absolutely delicious. Highly recommended Bistro Elba for lunch or dinner when you are next visiting Sorrento.

So yummy. Nice wine too. It’s French!! So be prepared for buttery but delicious dishes! The bread was also so good

Atmosphere was outstanding, food was a bit hit and miss. The entre we had (Petit friture) was really nothing to write home about and was room temp at best, the mains were outstanding (Chargrilled mirror dory fillets and the whole gory fish from the specials menu) perfect balance of flavours. The flourless chocolate cake for dessert was also the perfect mix of rich and sweet.The selection of wine was wide and really worth the visit. The only reason this isn’t a 5 is because of the entree and that the portions could have been bigger - or have included a side instead of having to pay $20 extra for a side salad.

A nice wine bar ambience with friendly staff. The entrees: petit friture, crab soufflé and prawns were good, the main fish wasn’t that flavourful. The drink service was a bit slow that night, but their wine list looked interesting, if only I could try more of it.
