Australia Post - Fairy Meadow LPO

Extremely rude customer service. Unwelcoming from the moment you walk in the door.

I have not actually been to this post office yet as I have recently moved most of my belongings up there but I did have a single couch /fold up to be delivered to my place at 15 Macham St Ferry Meadow or Mt Ousely as it is also known,however the place I brought it from did not give me a date as to when it wld be delivered,and I have to be down in Syd as my dog is receiving vet attention and so I cannot get back there until prob Frid or Mon,when I received a call stating my parcel which is some what large parcel (a fold up single couch) was at the p/o I told them I cld not be there and the woman I spoke to did not give me a hard time,she was in fact very kind but she did say tentatively that the p/o does have only a small amount of space,so i should of told her to have it delivered to my home and leave it at the front door. However as I have no idea of the era,I will be finding a lot of places in my new home area that I am moving into rather daunting, but all I wanted to say cudos to the woman who I dealt with ,I did tell her I may not be back until the end of this week or Mon the following week at the latest.But if that is an example of how u r treated by this p/office then I have nothing but praise for its staff.Thankyou so much for yr patience with me.Lindsay-Vovette

customers who have a whinge, suggest service is subpar, need to remember service standard is based on the attitude of the customer, treat staff with respect and it will be returned; abuse and arrogance will not be tolerated.Speak nicely on telephone and customers will be treated similarly, argue and abuse staff you will have that returned.Parcels are delivered by contractors that DONOT work from or based at this Post Office.This Post Office has no idea why parcels are delivered, so dont abuse PO staff when they suggest they need a name or ask questions these questions are actually to assist you, having no name to look for a parcel well the case is rested.

Very very very rude staff. I have to take the photo of my new born baby. I reach at 4pm and my baby was sleeping. I tried to wake him up till 4:30pm and when the poor baby got awake the lady refuse to take the photo. If someone from the authorities looking this feedback please take action this rude and very very very rude staff.

My husband & I arrived at this post office at 12.50pm to have a passport photo taken. We were told the computers would shut down at 1pm so they did not have time to take the photo. The male staff member told us to come back after 1.30pm and they would have time to take the photo right up until 4.30pm. My husband arrived back at 4.15pm. There were no customers in the store. The woman behind the counter said she couldn’t do it today, & after my husband said you told me to come back, she blankly looked at him. He said I’m only here from the country & I urgently need it today. Her response was, get it done in the country they have more staff there. Useless service or rather no service. Rude unfriendly staff with sign on door saying we’re here to help. Yeah right.

Called to ask a question, the man answered to phone with a deep annoyed sigh.Went down and waited for the store to open, older man unlocked the door and came out for a cigarette and a very old gentleman about 70 went towards the door and was told the store is not open, can’t you see the sign.The way he spoke to this old man was disgusting, the tone and attitude was unnecessary.I’m assuming he is the man Greg in the reviews who blames others attitudes for the responses, yet in one review he wrote himself, to all customers don’t ask for a JP, full message in uppercase which in tech speak uppercase is for shouting.The reviews make it pretty clear what the service is like.

We received an express post parcel with a MacBook in it very well packaged, and the screen was smashed. I was told by Australia Post to go to Corrimal Post Office to lodge the damage report. When i got there they said that it had to be sent away and that they didnt know how long it would be or if i would ever get it back. It is not fair that Australia Post damages goods and has an antiquated reporting system. I asked them if they could just take photos of it as it doesnt belong to me and we need to get it fixed. They said the manager who wasnt in today, had to assess it then it had to be sent to Melbourne. I left with the MacBook as our supplier had kindly offered to replace the screen for free as they had posted it, but honestly it is Australia Posts responsibility and they will never be held accountable. Beware when sending items using Express Post.

I would say I am not going this post office again. Super disappointed and disrespected. The owner was super rude. We went over there for kids passport photograph .while the girl was taking photo of my 2 yr old girl , my girl start bit crying , to get her on camera I showed her a toy(little lion) which was on the shelve nearby ,I took and showed her. Then the owner came in and shouted in loud and raised voice said ,it is not a toy u can't take it during this pandemic bla bla...and then he left. He ihe should say this thing in nice manner. Feel very bad right now..and at the end I bought that toy .which I touched.

All but one of the staff here seem to really dislike their jobs. Hardly every friendly, at times argumentative - did not want to give me a parcel that was addressed to my husband, when the address on my ID matches the parcel, which according to the Australia Post website the address matching is sufficient.Also the Australia Post website said this store would be open on Friday 27th December 2019, but they were not. I was not the only one to turn up to a closed store.

The best post office you'll go to by far. The staff are super friendly, helpful and efficient. They'll see me walk in the door, pop out back, grab my parcel and have it ready for me to collect before I even get to the counter!
