We were a couple in a family cabin for one night. All features of cabin very good and spotlessly clean. Benefit of family cabon was the cover over its verandah. Cassowary appearance right on cue too. Beach is very close. Highly recommend

Nice place to stay. This was our second time staying in the couples cabins at Etty Bay. Great little container cabins. Each cabin seems to be a little different in that some have more space to put things (eg shelving beside bed or larger vanity in bathroom) while others have almost none. But...still awesome accommodation in a beautiful place.

The staff were excellent especially Rebecca who went out of her way to sort out our site issues. Great place and great location with exceptionally clean amenities. Will definitely be back and will definitely recommend

A beautiful slice of paradise. Facilities are basic and it is somewhat costly for what you get. The owners appear to be doing work to the place so there is hope yet.

This was one of our favourite places during our 4 week tropical north queensland road trips. The little shipping container cabin was AWESOME. clean beautiful and modern and beach right outside. We got there after hours had no problems checking in , saw cassowary and enjoyed our night there and then checked out before staff was onsite. We would stay longer next time and chat to the owners. We love the shipping container idea. We went and got food at Inisfail i didnt plan well enough and didnt realise there werent any shops at etty bay so recommend you go get a bite at inisfail or bring some food with you

Pros:-Beautiful beachfront location-Very friendly staff who are happy to help. We couldn't have asked for more from the team really, from booking being smooth (we changed our dates) to moving to a cabin, the girls were extremely helpful & happy & friendly.-Wild life- cassowary's are everywhere, we saw them daily , wandering through the campground & on the beach.-cabins - very cool modern containers converted into containers, overlooking the beach, great for a coupleCons:-So many mozzies it's not enjoyable, you'll get bitten in places you've never been bitten before! We actually had to leave the camp early & change to a cabin it was that bad. Many other people switched to the Mission bay campground instead to escape the mozzies. You must bring mosquito repellent, even for the day time & plenty of coils to burn, it was rough!-Amenities - no camp kitchen, so no hot water to even wash your dishes, if your camping in a tent it can be quite hard. Toilets aren't that pleasant eaither, be sure to bring your own toilet roll as the ladies was often out. The showers are powerful, but you won't want to be in there very long before the mosquitos get you.Small sights- everything is very cramped, sights aren't private at all. If you go for an unpowered sight, expect it to be tiny & the smell of the toilets will waft over to you.We were lucky we were in sight 19, so if there is an option, go for this one, flatter ground, close to amenities (but not so you could smell them)Weather- now again if your in a tent & it rains, there is no shelter at the campground, you will be trapped in your tent (so be prepared) and the ground gets soooo saturated that it's like being at a British festival, you will need your gum boots! And when it rained we had leaches crawling round everywhere, so again, have insect repellent.Cassowarys - I know this shouldn't be a con, as they are amazing to see, and it doesn't get old, but you have to make sure to keep all your food away, as they will go through all your stuff & walk right through your camp scavenging.Shops- now there's nothing down here, so you have to be prepared to bring all your shopping, and as there is no camp fridge it gets quite expensive having to buy ice to keep everything cold, or you have to do a daily 15mins drive to innisvale to get supplies. The cafe is only open on the weekends to buy hot food. All in all, it is a beautiful location, that's why I gave it 5stars, as the cons are not necessarily the campgrounds fault, but I wish someone had warned me about all the above, we may have not picked it for our selves as it's not very suitable to tenting.

Accommodation looks great. We had a perfect site for our 23.5 foot caravan.

Lucky enough to see the cassowary as soon as we arrive the park and in the very early morning. The park is great very close to the beach. Clean amenity and grassy camping grounds. Definitely love to visit again for longer time.

Beautiful location. It's only a small park so it is isolated from most of the holiday park crowds. Seeing a cassowary is almost guaranteed as one visits the park most mornings. Just be sure to keep all of your food and scraps out of it's reach.
