Riverglades Community Wetlands Walking Trail, Murray Bridge | Walk a loop through the wetlands at Riverglade. Formerly a dairy and sheep property, in 1980 the area was converted to a wetland with a lagoon, increasing the biodiversity of the river here. The trail circuits around the wetlands and along the river. Watch out for reptiles and snakes.

Riverglades Wetlands walking trail
3.5km circuit (about 1hr) with information posts and seating as you walk. Stunning scenery and wildlife. Enter from Avoca dell riverfront reserve. Highly reccomend.

Riverglades Wetlands walking trail
As of September 2022, part of the Trail has a section closed so you can’t do a complete loop.You can see plenty of wildlife from birds to reptiles (loads of snakes and large skinks) and the occasional carp bobbing out of the water.There’s public chairs littered about but you may want to bring some chairs with you anyway.Bring sunscreen & water.

Riverglades Wetlands walking trail
Peaceful area. We walked the Wetlands trail, enjoying the different birds and other wildlife. Very quiet other than all the frogs you could hear singing. I loved all the mosaic signs along the trail. Lots of information posted along the way. Plenty of spots to stop and sit if you desire.

Quite beautiful at sunset/dusk as captures west and east directions along the river. Good idea to put on mosquito repellant before walking though.
