This company does not provide a great service to their customers. The company they use to service their appliances are so rude and unhelpful and over charge on service call outs. We have found our own service company that is reasonable in costs and gives real customer service. We will return to them if need. Smeg need to look at the self as a company you do not keep a good name if you do not provide great after sales service. More staff training in this area required asap

We purchased a full kitchen of SMEG appliances, we've had a number of problems with them, one of the appliances doesn't work properly at all, after months of trying to work out a resolution they've stopped replying to our communication attempts. Incredibly disappointing considering the cost of the appliances.

We are extremely disappointed with our 900 mm standalone cooktop/oven. Not even after 2 years the cook top began to rust and they were scratched in some parts. We had the top part replaced early this year and the same thing happened again, it is all scratched and stained all over, despite that every care has been taken for the proper use of the product. We purchased the cooktop 2 and half years ago and it is very disappointing to see the quality is not up to standard. We never encountered these problems with our old cooktop, which was well over 20 years old. Overall very disappointed!

Quoted to repair. I gave them the correct Model and told them TO REPLACE FAN FORCE ELEMENTSand I wanted a Smeg serviceman because I am willing to pay more than I was quoted by a local man to be $165 inclusive of parts.Smeg did not inform me that they actually get a 3rd party for the repair. The service man turned up from Alantin services (who I think also sub contractedout to another group).Within a few seconds of arriving, he said the oven is too heavy, I need need two persons... When I told him I did give the model number and he should know the oven and its repair requirements he said they did not tell me".The original bill quote was $135 labor plus parts $115 which I am happy to pay.But on the return visit I was charged:SERVICE $135 x 2

We had the worst customer service with Smeg. We contacted them after having some issues with our oven that came installed in the house we purchased last year. It has been rattling, leaking excessive amounts of heat, and recently started short circuiting. We replaced the bulbs and it started working again for about 3 weeks until they blew again and fused to the oven. Needless to say, this appeared to be dangerous. We looked up the product number to find reviews such as 'VERY BAD' and that these issues have caused fires... not a great sign for our lovely looking oven.As business owners, should we sell a product that doesn't maintain quality, we would seek to provide some kind of assistance to our customers. We understand the lifetime value of a customer. So we gave Smeg the opportunity to address the issues with their product.Given that the oven was out of warranty (it's 5 years old), we reached out to Smeg (with complete honesty about the stove's age and that it was obtained through a house purchase, so we don't have the original receipt) to see what our next course of action should be.The first representative we spoke to was kind and understanding and said that Smeg would pay for the replacement parts if we pay for the labour to fix the oven. At this moment, we were quite satisfied with the service and happy that Smeg had taken some ownership over their product. All seeming fair, we booked in an service appointment for a week later (28/10/19).Appointment day comes around, my partner took the day off work to wait for the undisclosed arrival time of the service provider only to receive a phone call in the middle of the day from a provider in the Sydney area (we are in Beaconsfield, Victoria). Obviously there had been a mix up at the Smeg office. This is forgivable, mistakes happen. So, my partner got back on the phone with Smeg to try to re-book the appointment only to be confronted by the rudest customer service representative who not only blamed him for them sending the service provider to the wrong location, but she reneged on the previously agreement that Smeg would be paying for the replacement parts. Her attitude was so rude in fact, that my partner was beyond flabbergasted so he put the phone call on speaker in for our friend to witness what was being communicated. Is the product faulty? Likely. Should it have lasted longer than 5 years? Definitely. Was Smeg obligated to offer assistance in getting it fixed? Nope. That's the company's benefit of having a 2 year warranty on a $2,000 product. But in this situation, they did offer to assist and then they (very rudely) withdrew their offer after causing us a day of inconvenience. We have no faith in this product nor any future service it may be. We have decided that it's best to cut our losses and purchase a new oven from a higher quality brand.

Amazing customer service and support. Contacted head office to report a malfunctioning toaster well outside warranty (2nd time I had the same issue but the first time was replaced under warranty) and after 3 days, a new toaster arrived at my doorstep. This is a sign of a self respecting brand.
