Amenities are old and some toilets out of order. Showers are clean but the ceiling fans are very dirty and not working. We had a caravan site near the river which was great but also very windy. The Park seems to have a lot of permanent resident of which quite a few have accumulated a lot of rubbish around their vans which makes the Park look dilapidated and tired. Price per night was $28 which is cheap compared to a lot of other parks. It would require quite an investment to bring it into the 21st century. Great stay for those seeking stillness. Personally would not stay again.

If you ever want to go to a quiet place , the owner rob here will try his hardest to accommodate yourself.... he is such a good person and helps with whatever he can, he maintains this place and tries his hardest to make each person that comes and stays to feel welcome and a safe place to stay. I stayed here while I was working up north and he is just such a good person,rob is definitely someone u want to keep in business and support.

Quiet, spacious (we were given a double site to accommodate our van) with slabs. Bathroom facilities are old and a little smell from septic. Overall good for the price $28.

The area is fairly open but it does have trees too if you like being under them.The hosts are very nice, the amenities block is an older style that's has a lovely paint job and the showers and toilets are clean.We stayed one night 2 Adults, with power for $28.

Old ,run down. Cabin has no hot water or ensuite, shared toilets and showers, shower has very little water pressure and hot water took about 10 minutes to kick in ,I had a shower with just cold water ,no shops or anything for klms, barking dog all night .After 2 nights I got my work to find me better accommodation. Would not recommend this park to anyone.

O'Connell River Tourist Park
A nice little older park, the owner/manager very helpful, takes you to your site and assists with parking. Site are grass and cement slabs. Amenities are old but we're clean and tidy, there is also a dump point. There is a nice little swimming pool. The park is very close to the Bruce Highway and I found the highway noise very annoying, I didn't sleep very well. To be fair, I was only there for one night and I think if you were there for a longer period, it might not bother.

An origional quaint parkBig shady sites with access on both sides of the slab. Great for nature watchers with birds and of course the river. Beautiful old trees too. Worth a stopover
