Mazda 3 did make it :) great trip. Wildlife, water, sand, fishing, nature... just can’t beat it. Remember to pack food and water though (just in case). No reception.

This is Bithry Inlet, the mouth of Wapengo Lake, just downstream from where some of our favourite oysters are grown. This lovely sandy swimming spot sits at the end of a gnarly unsealed road. Fast flowing fragrant water moves along the channel towards the ocean, but if you hang close to the massive sandbars you’ll find it calm enough to loll about. For drama you can watch the surf pound the beach from the shelter of your green and gold sanctuary.

What a beautiful place. The locals had constructed beach huts which the kids loved. Very strong tidal currents.
