Hillgate

As an experienced traveller I can say that not many properties match the level of Hillgate. Beautifully appointed and situated in such an idyllic location, it would be hard to beat. We will definitely be back and cannot recommend highly enough.

We had an amazing stay at Hillgate! The property is beautiful, and so comfortable for large groups. So many little spaces to enjoy!

What an amazing week at Hillgate with our family. Some days we went and explored beaches and towns; others we hung around the house. It was so relaxing and truly felt comfortable like a home and very private. The rooms and beds were wonderful. The kitchen was amazing, had everything we needed. We were able to grill as well, and loved sunset dinners on the back patio. One of my favourite spaces was the coffee nook! Don’t miss checking out the stars at night as well. Would love to come back.

Beautifully curated home. It was the perfect spot for our yearly family reunion. Excellent kitchen and facilities to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Our host was amazing and communication was reliable and easy. The kids loved the large garden and fire pit, backyard kangaroos and the best park we’ve seen in the town of Berry. Fab stay, we would definitely recommend for groups or family gatherings.

Perfect home for a large family group or group of friends. Beautifully decorated. Large back yard for games, very large deck for alfresco dining, and fire pit for roasting marshmallows. Multiple living rooms and TVs. Well equipped with everything. Highly recommended!

A group of 11 friends spent a weekend at Hillgate and found the property to be perfect for our needs. The interior decoration and lighting was gorgeous, the kitchen very well stocked - the owners have thought of everything - and the grounds were beautifully maintained. We loved that the house had sufficient bedrooms, bathrooms, and seating for dining and relaxing without ever feeling like we were cramped. I visited Hillgate in March 2022 with friends and enjoyed it so much I introduced a different group of friends to it in Nov. 2022.

Beautiful property with lots of room for large groups. Very tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishing. The owners had thoughtful touches like eggs, milk, tea, coffee, bread and butter for our arrival. Would love to stay here again!

A truly amazing house and property. Definitely the best we have ever stayed in.Immaculately clean. So much space to spread out. Great for multiple families.Fantastic loft for kids or a teen in my case.We didn’t want to leave! Thanks for having us!

We booked Hillgate for a big group getaway. This place just blew us away. The location is stunning. You just want to sit outside or around the fire pit and take in the stunning views. Then the house is incredible. Everything is high spec; the lush towels and soft bedding, comfortable lounges, amazing kitchen with everything you need. There were 12 of us, 6 couples, and you never felt like you were on top of each other because of so many different areas to relax. The little touches such as milk, marshmallows for the fire pit, local bread and fresh eggs just make the stay extra special. You just know you are being looked after. Lastly, great communication with the owner, which is always important. Would highly recommend this place.

A great weekend away shared with 8 ladies. It was incredibly relaxing and we wanted for nothing more. The Hillgate property is clean, spacious and has everything you need. The views of the south coast countryside from inside the property and sitting outside on the verandah are nothing short of amazing. So easy to book the weekend away with Cathie - great communications!
