Great band room and venue. Highly recommended, fantastic staff and service, cracking location.Just come on down and have a great night.

Not many options, however the food was delicious and had a great serving size. 2 out of the 4 were slightly cold. Otherwise would recommend. It would be great if they could accommodate a vegan diet as there was only 1 vegan option.

Great atmosphere, friendly service, awesome live music and other events. When the food is on, enjoy quality pub food, including various burgers (veggie burger too).

The welcome from the young lady who I suspect is staying there on a working holiday visa was lovely and welcoming. Carpeting helped ensure the rooms were fairly quiet, though I can see how it might get noisy if all rooms were full and people were using the 2 shared bathrooms all night, for example.My room was very clean and the accommodation has clearly been recently renovated. If I was staying here for longer my qualms would be that there is no TV in the rooms, and no soap was provided with my towels (so I had to use the Dettol hand wash in the bathroom for my shower!)A little container of UHT milk was provided, and shared tea/coffee facilities were available in the hallway.There are a variety of rooms available, including twins. I paid the standard rate of $110 for mine, which I consider to be on the expensive side, but it is still good value for the area. It's in Macedon, not Mount Macedon. Right across from the train station which was handy for me to catch the early train into Melbourne. The pub attached to the hotel serves meals and looked like it had a nice selection of local beers and wines as well.The Macedon Railway Hotel seems to be a good option for those who want to stay in the area for a short time and don't want to pay the ridiculous rates that seem to start coming up as soon as you put the word Mount" before the place name....!"

A must visit.. friendly service great pub grub & live music most days

Went to listen to Joe Camilleri and The Black Sorrows. Great night and great band. Staff are very professional, making sure people register their contact details and sat in allocated and appropriatedly spaced tables to be COVID-19 safe. Very reasonably priced for such good entertainment although the there is a bit of a price hike for the bar in the performance room vs the front bar.

Great live music venue and all round great pub. Meals are generous and tasty.

Great music in our local, very happy to support this! Good drink prices, ambience and sound quality. Others seemed to enjoy their food, I'll try a meal next time.

So happy to have a venue featuring live music in a cosy atmosphere where it's possible to get up close. Great night and well done! Would like a bit more air flow as it was very hot & stuffy in there and hope the owners replace the cracked toilet seats as I ended up with a blister in the nether regions!!

Have been going here for years and love it. Prices are reasonable, food is great and service is friendly. I love that it still has a good bar just like an old school pub, very hard to find! Pool table, e-darts, huge deck in the sunshine and a function room adds to its versatility.
