Mark is an excellent hair stylist with a real flair. It is worth the wait for an appointment.

After reading this salons reviews I was confident this guy could do my hair. Nothing too hard. Just match the regrowth to the rest of the hair. I said repeatedly I don't want it dark". "I don't want it to look black". I'm trying to get it lighter. All I heard was he didn't have 10 hours to get the colour right. I thought do I leave now or just chance it. I had already waited for 7 weeks to get it done and considering I had been walking around with greys everywhere I was feeling desperate. When he eventually washed it out I could tell straight away it was too dark. Fighting back tears I sat with my head down in complete silence. It was completely obvious I wasn't happy. He mentioned coming back and 'strip washing hair ' but wouldn't advise it as it would damage my hair further. What!!!! You darkened my hair even further and not even try and make it better. Seriously I could have done what he did for $20 from a colour purchased at Coles. I have coloured my own hair for 20 years but was getting sick of the buildup and having to strip it back. I thought going to a hair dresser with 5 stars would elevate alot of this. He would be able to colour it without it going black which is what you'd expect when you do it yourself. So I walk to the counter to pay. He never asked once "Are you happy" etc. Nothing. All he could be bothered to do was ask for his $175. So if your after someone who knows what there doing and confident in their own ability

Mark is a skilled stylist and colourist. The experience of visiting his salon is relaxing and a special treat. With the added bonus you leave with great hair.

I chanced upon Folk while visiting Manly. Thought it was time this 66y hair had a colour boost and new style. Mark chatted with me and suggested that he really didnt want to put colour into my greys, that it looks great as it was. He did a fabulous new cut which I love and gave me a boost of confidence rather than colour. Wish I lived local so I could be a regular client. Thanks again Mark.
