Came across Better Performance by accident after using another repair service in Hobart (ABS) for a number of years. ABS were Ok but this company operates at a different level! I had work identified as needing doing by my previous service and wanted a comparison quote from someone else. Found BF Kingston, had a chat, they had a look and quoted me significantly under the original quote and I am very happy with the work. They accommodated my time limitations for a booking, gave me quality customer service, I spoke meaningfully with the mechanic afterwards ...and they came in under budget! Needless to say I have been back for further work with exactly the same experience, including more in my pocket than anticipated. I do not know the operators or anyone associated with the business and consider myself lucky, for my car's future, that I found them....even though sooner would have been even better. Thank you team.

Had a standard service done on a diesel Hilux. Excellent customer service, really friendly owner, front of house staff, and mechanics. And was cheaper than the last few places I'd been years ago - even in these high inflation times. Had a code error pop up the next day (just an error, no issues) and they looked at it straight away when I just literally turned up after noticing. Excellent business in all regards, and will be back!

Had a problem with ute. They said bring it in and they looked and fixed in no time flat. Awesome service.

Long term customer left with a vehicle broken down on the side of Browns Road after collecting after a ‘service’. It was running well before being dropped off but when it broke down 100 m from the workshop at 4:30pm on a Friday afternoon, the response from staff was overwhelmingly ‘not our problem’. Left on side of the road for the weekend where it sustained damage. No apologies for poor service on the Friday. No care from owner. No longer a customer.

Dealers in tassie didn’t want to know me as from the main land. Needed 30k service done BT50 . Rang Better Performance booked in 2 days later to fit in with our trip back from Bruny Island. As we where waiting around for it they did the job straight away. Thanks to all.

Had a catastrophic overheating problem on my VW T5 campervan.Luckily my son recommended Anthony at Better Performance.We got Tasmania RAC to take the van there. Anthony found the problem and had a new transmission cooler sent from Melbourne.This fixed the problem, for a very reasonable charge, in time for us to get our ferry back.He also did a follow up call when we were on our way.Very impressed with Anthony and would recommend his company.
