A great spot for a picnic. Beautiful views of the water. Only 10 minutes drive from Maleny.Do the circuit track for fantastic bird watching, so many different species to see here. One of the best spots on the Sunshine Coast

Baroon Pocket Dam (North Maleny side)
An awesome place for kayaking. Very quiet during the weekdays. If you turn left from the ramp, and follow the bank down and turn left toward the end, you'll find a little offshoot of the dam which has about 1.5km of dead trees to paddle through. Makes for a great photo opportunity. You can go fishing here with a permit.

Splendid spot for a picnic. Plenty of parking, tables, gas bbqs, basic toilets and a playground. There are two loop walks which start from the carpark

Baroon Pocket Dam (North Maleny side)
Great place for a picnic, plenty of tables and free grass barbeques. Can use non-powered watercraft like canoes, kayaks, or sailing boats though since the dam is in a valley, wind is gusty and inconsistent. There is also a designated area where swimming is allowed.
